Ok, I've been sent to explain. Let's see if I can work the back history past the numbers branded into my brain. 

Veti was in a very turbulent relationship with Thad/Max, tirgesfu's character who was once a scrawny mage who misused his powers to make himself big and buff and impress the leggy tattooed Red-head. Well something went wrong and he got stuck as Max and he also in a night of passion fueled magic made Veti the werewolf she is. They are tempestuous to say the least, hurting each other as often as they love each other. During the last chapter, when t set out for his seasonal ramble the plot hook needed to send him on his way was to have Max head into dead-land via Daisy's help to kill off the soul of the baddie. But he needed to be dead to do it and people were pretty certain he could come back. But then RL happened and the RP went down and time has been skipped. So it was decided that Max was further taken from them to give reason for him to still be gone while t is away. So a mix of RL and RP contributing to that situation.
