[@MiddleEarthRoze] So I really like the character but a lot of the stuff in the parent's tab doesn't make sense to me. Firstly, I don't really understand why Mia's parents raised her as a normal human child when everything in the tab goes out of the way to say how scornful they are of humans and the Syndicate. Not that the scorn is a problem, the Syndicate should be full of individuals that dislike each other intensely (though still trust each other enough to work together otherwise what's the point of having them as villains when it's easier to wait for them to self destruct?) and aliens with magical powers probably would feel superior to humans, but why raise your only child according to the cultural norms of a species you consider inferior? And why hide her powers from her? I may have missed something that explains this. Secondly, I think this sentence is missing some words? It feels like a non sequitur.
It depends on dear old George decides to offer her and her husband, because there’s no-way she’ll let a goddamn human boss around superior beings like herself
I guess it's supposed to be 'what George decides to offer' but then I still don't fully understand what's being said here. Is it that when someone in the Syndicate makes a mistake, she'll hold them hostage to it in some way? Thirdly, why did they join the Syndicate at all? They seem to have no vested interest in their end goal and speak unflatteringly of all the members mentioned. I get the 'powerful friends are useful' logic but why would they need powerful friends when they have no agenda other than to live peacefully? They seem to have enough power that they wouldn't really need to fear anyone anyway (which I'm cool with, super-duper powerful aliens are par the course, looking at you Martian Manhunter and Superman) and they apparently have interstellar travel as well so they could outrun any enemies anyway. I really like Mia, I just feel like her parent's (and therefore her) connection to the Syndicate side of the RP is a bit shaky. I'm actually going to sleep now so I won't be able to respond for 8ish hours.
