[@Roosan] AHH THANKYOUU I was kinda on the fence about the whole parents bit -as in, had no idea what to write for them - so I figured I'd just put up what I had so someone without an outside perspective could help me out. I can answer a few of those though: 1. They want Mia to feel as normal as possible growing up, and one can't really do that as a child knowing that they're an Alien. Also, it would be impossible for her to control her powers out in the open - there'd be a slip up somewhere along the line, and it'd be one they wouldn't be able to cover up. So, rather than tell her everything - or alternatively, tell her about her true heritage, and then have to explain why she wasn't allowed to use said powers - they've hidden everything and stopped her powers coming forth until she's an adult and can be eased into it all with more control. 2. I was thinking along the lines of; If she doesn't like what she's being made to do, she won't do it. And with such control over the lawyers in the state, that'll make it harder for the Syndicate to deal with said issues. Honestly, I was grasping at straws a bit here - I didn't want them to be controlled in the job, because as mentioned above, they consider their Avalian race to be superior to the human one. But then I was like: How can a Lawyer and Doctor call some shots in a big ol' crime group? 3. I'VE GOT NOTHING. I couldn't think of an idea - I was going to ask for advice, but I figured it was about time I just got the finished product up. I don't want to make them inherently evil - because they do actually love their family and whatnot, and the two do not go together for me - and I can't think of any reason why they may want to join a crime group. Shit n' giggles? Probably not.
