Not one creature on the ship knew of her plans, nor were they aware of her dilemma. The only one besides her informed about the intel concerning the human race was the one who discovered it less than six hours ago, Grick, or who she calls, ‘Fish Boy’. Askel was prepared to suddenly do the defiant at an unpredictable time. Everyone else aboard the ship were asleep or at least retired to their quarters, except the Nine, except Askel’s "favorite" pilot in the whole wide universe. No, there was absolutely and completely loathing between the two. You would probably assume it be due to their implanted translators emitting mistaken statements due to language barriers, however that is only wished to be the case. It is even ironic to say the Captain saved Nine's life, but none the less they have their differences, and that is a light way to put it. "Nine, set the course to the Nemo Nebula, I want the ship docked on the Nomad," Askel barked the order to the Pilot to break the silence. "We are not going to Uslypso." Nine was at that moment clueless to Askel's plans even if she had earlier spied on her through cameras. Uslypso was the small colony planet they were targeted to land on. Here, the Pickers were suppose to ship any salvaged items found from the earlier day on Trorth B601 to the council. But instead, Askel had just commanded Nine to ignore the objective and transport them to perhaps the darkest dirtiest stain on the face of the universe. The Nomad, was a space station festering with the despicable. It is a hotspot for passionate drunkards, drug connoisseurs, or blood lusters. It is questionable why an officer of the galactic law would freely visit such a place, but Askel believed it was not in Nine's place to question her. "This is your Captain speaking," Askel announced as she grabbed and activated the intercom mic, releasing a rude awakening among all of its crew. Every Picker had their own room that they could willful customize to their liking with the earnings they received from salvaging. This not only work in benefit for species that were too large to coexist with others in a single room, but also because this enforced independence. At this point they were only given two hours of sleep, but the task at hand matter more than even rest. "I want everybody in the commons room immediately. Come or be absent, but don't be late. I'm locking the door after five minutes." This was serious to Askel, so she expected to be taken sternly and for everyone to make the effort to be punctual. She awaited to see them seated at the table where they most often ate their meals at. Askel ended the message and turned back to Nine, "You stay here." Askel needed Nine piloting the ship, although the Ukai could put the ship on autopilot, Askel preferred she not, mainly because little did she ever see Nine away from the cockpit. Askel will not deny that she appreciates Nine's talent, and in fact feels security in it. Flying is about the one thing she respects her in. "Do you think I'm keeping you in the dark? Well, I am, but you're the Pilot, I'm the Captain. Besides, don't you Ukai like the dark?" Slightly after Nine's first year working for Askel, she picked up on the Pilot's spying through the ship's main surveillance system located on the cockpit. One way to get on Askel's bad side is to invade her privacy, this mainly being because she is quite guarded and particularly defensive, eventually causing her to rub off as aggressive to perceived enemies who intrude that privacy. Askel was also acting especially callous to Nine due to the stress and exhaustion pressed against her within the most recent couple of hours, when something so small as a chip bears the capability to make or break them...
