Actually they still used armor to certain extent. Thing is that only heavy cavalry ever used the full knight armor get up and that was expensive and also becoming inefficient since you had mass firing of guns as a strategy that meant that they were gonna get swiss cheesed.

Also as for my interest in this game.  I'm not really attracted to it because it's really vague and I have no clue what we're doing outside of Slice of Life and a school/academy set up. Which again is vague and not very distinctive.
