Name: Alder "Al" Theodore Hastings Age: (What age your character appears, all Immortals have existed since the dawn of humans.) Appearance: Alder stands at 5'11" at 168lbs. Bio: Alder's first and fondest memories date back to the 1600s at the peak of piracy. He remembers serving as a deckhand for a crew renowned along the eastern coast of the American colonies under a flag depicting a skeleton piercing a heart and toasting the Devil himself. As he got bored, or his current expeditions wouldn't satisfy his need for lawlessness, Alder moved on, pillaging and robbing as he wished. He eventually found himself captain of his very own ship towards the Caribbean and chose to torment any sort of authority figure rather than prioritize money and goods like the rest of his kind. He'd board Spanish ships and take what his crew wanted, making sure the Spaniards knew who was responsible. Not necessarily for any specific reason; Alder just enjoyed this lifestyle. Coupled with his undying condition, he continued on with reckless abandon. As he and his crew died, he'd rise from the depths to cause chaos towards whatever organization he pleased. As time went on, he found himself preferring to take the "easy way" in every aspect of his life. He fought dirty and cut corners. The life of crime with no real consequences drew him in as the world as we know it began to take shape. He took on gunfighting when that became prevalent, learning his way around a revolver. Obviously, he had quite an edge, but Alder never cared much. He took every advantage his condition gave him and drank his troubles away. Later, he found his way into organized crime. Drugs, prostitutes, alcohol during Prohibition. At this time he decided to change his name to "Al" for a bit, just to fit his surroundings. Then, it was into the mob, working as muscle and eventually, a higher-up in a Family. Majority of organized crime in the 20th Century could be accredited to Alder in some form or the other. He just loved causing messes for the government to clean up. Prison and capture always seemed to elude him. He found that "faking" a death generally got him out of incarceration. In his most recent venture, he'd been fighting on the lawless side of the war on drugs. Weed, coke, heroin, he distributed it all throughout the west coast, overseeing many different operations. All the money he'd make would go back to his "employees" and the operations; he'd only ever keep what he needed. It's not like he'd actually starve to death. It was at this point in his long life he'd received a summons to Seattle, Washington. Personality: Alder was "born" a sailor and maintains the mannerisms of one. A filthy tongue and an all around obnoxious person, he's generally well meaning to those he deals with. When wronged, Alder will stop at nothing to "right" whoever has wronged him. He's never taken a liking to authority and goes out of his way to disrupt whoever is in charge. He cares about the well-being of his "co-workers" and "employees" and does his best to take care of them. Possessions: Alder prefers the color black for his clothing, simply because it looks cool to him. He keeps his .45 Revolver, lovingly named Caitlyn, on his person at all times. At least $500 in cash is always in his pocket to get him out of a pinch or for petty cash. Brass knuckles are also in his back pocket along with a pack of cigarettes. Skills: Because of his gunfighting background, Alder is fairly good on the draw and rarely misses a target. Life on the sea and constant working out has made him to be quite stronger than the average man, although not supernaturally strong. He has a sixth sense for avoiding authorities and considers himself to be a fairly competent leader, considering his "business" background. Alder can also hold his own in a fist fight and does whatever he can to win. Fast facts: Alder loves hip-hop music and enjoys stringing curse words on in odd fashions.
