She values her honor and integrity just as much as she values the lives of the common people. Coraline is a selfless warrior who will act for the sake of others rather than the sake of herself. She will often take time out of her schedule to take a detour if it means it will better the lives of others. Coraline is a patient fighter and will remain on the defensive until a decisive blow can be dealt. Coraline attempts to offer new ways of life for those she helps. She is motivated by purpose and quests across the world to find more of it. Coraline has a neutral stance between hunters and witches as she was brought up by both. She helps everybody and justifies her actions by virtue of the cause. Coraline sees past things as they are and always makes important decisions with the future in mind, even if the outcome in the short term is unfavorable. [color=steelblue][b]History[/b][/color] The daughter of a witch and a hunter, Coraline has always wondered about her place in society. From a young age, Coraline was exposed to many stories about heroic acts of selflessness from hunters and witches alike and was always inspired by them. She had also heard of the dark deeds committed by witches but never stuck to believing them since her mother disproved many of the stereotypes. As a child, Coraline always fantasized about truly unifying the witches and the hunters so that they could live like her parents had. The inspired girl was always spending time with one of her parents, learning from them their ways. Her father taught her how to survive on her own and be completely self sufficient. Her mother had taught her as much as she could learn about magic. Magic never came easily to Coraline, the fact that she wasn't a pure witch had definitely stunted that. Her mother had seen her frustration and comforted her, always telling her that not being able to manipulate magic as well as a witch isn't exactly a bad thing. Her parents together had taught her how to use her limited control of magic in other ways. In her teen years, Coraline had learned how to track with her magic, sense it, and defend against it. Her witchblood gave her a heightened advantage over most against magic, but it made her fragile to silvers and golds and many other things witches were susceptible to. It was discovered that bloodmoon stones had the same effect on Coraline, her parents decided it was best to not see if her power was amplified by it however. Days went on and her parents alternated with Coraline's lessons. As she grew into her late teens, Coraline had adopted many tattoos and markings from both her heritages. Society had always questioned why she was marked as both a hunter and a witch, but she never let it get to her. As always, the bird has to leave its nest. When Coraline reached the age of twenty-two, she set out from her home to make her dream become a reality. With the many lessons instilled in her from her witch mother and hunter father, Coraline didn't have a fear in the world. But she soon realized how difficult it was to help with the blood of both sides running in her veins. People didn't take to her, and she was viewed as untrustworthy for a long time. But Coraline's defining moment eventually came when she had uncovered a plot by a mastermind to pit a witch coven and a hunting party against each other to reap the benefits of the conflict and destroy both of them. Coraline rode as an emissary between the two in secret and managed to convince the two factions that they were all being played. And when the two forces met on a field for battle, they turned and marched together against the shadowy organization that was manipulating them. Coraline fought with the witches and hunters and inspired the both of them to look at one another in a new light. She was the product of communion, and they wanted that. The head of the coven and the lord of the land were grateful for Coraline because of the peace she had managed to bring. She was knighted by the lord and granted a plot of land to start her new life among a coexisting people. Coraline was befriended by the hunters and the witches and quickly garnered a name for herself in the Eastern corner of the world. Coraline had stayed in the region as a intermediary and champion holding the two factions together for years. She had accomplished something that was but a mere dream as a child. By the time Coraline was twenty-eight, felt she could do more; and when she heard of a strange force acting in a territory half the world away, she set couldn't help but set out. It took years for Coraline to reach her destination, but when she arrived in Seren's Folly, she knew she had stepped into something much deeper. In other parts of the world, Coraline had never felt such a feeling of impending doom. Coraline is thirty-one now as she walks into the tavern for the first time to meet the hunters of a strange new land. She has already received many strange looks regarding the witchmarks of her mother's coven. And she is prepared to prove her worth to anybody who confronts her for it. [color=steelblue][b]Signature Weapon[/b][/color] The Longsword; Coraline carries two longswords. Coraline fights with one sword at a time, a good warrior always carries a backup. She has a short bow as well, but that is mainly used for hunting animals for food. [color=steelblue][b]Romantic Preferences[/b][/color] Coraline looks up to men with strong moral codes. She doesn't like men who are inflexible or biased, however. She likes it when people respect others regardless of their upbringing, witch or hunter, noble or poor. Coraline is also attracted to self-sufficient individuals. She is very capable at handling herself and doesn't like it when others try to do things for her. Beating Coraline in a one on one swordplay is a quick way to garner interest from her. [/color] [/center] [/hider]
