You are both right to a degree. Though personally I prefer to stay away from the title of Hacker as it leads to a certain picture in peoples heads. (I'm looking at you WarGames! Goddamn you John Badham, Goddamn you to hell! :arghfist lol) Some would refer to me as what you would call a [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_hat_%28computer_security%29] White Hat[/url] [i]butttt[/i] some of my friends would call me a sellout because I squander my talents by trading in freedom and independence for three piece suits and policy meetings. But the truth of the matter is it pays well enough and I don't have to worry about going to jail. So in the end I'm perfectly fine being a sellout. :lol
