Alright, man, that sounds good to me. Here are my answers.
Q: Would people like to be able to create unique histories and their own lore (royal families, factions, races) at some point in the RP? A: If we're talking about an AU, I can see unique histories and own lore as a pretty sweet thing. :D Only seems logical. Q: Would people like to have the chance to lead their own Arcs later in the RP? A: Depends on the person and how the RP actually develops. I personally wouldn't mind it. Q: As Bleach is a verse centered around conflict between factions and inviduals, it stands to reason that an RP based on it will also be as such. The question is, what races do people prefer to be playable? Shinigami, Arrancar, Quincy, Spiritually Aware Humans, etc etc. A: As much as I know, rationally, that a lot of races can lead to things being overly convoluted, messy and/or out of balance - I am still A HUGE fan of Spiritually Aware Humans (like... one of the rare ones haha), as well as Quincies and Arrancars. It really goes down to personal preference. For the sake of balance, having one or two races to play with would be a lot easier, but you know. I am kinda biased on this one. Q: Would people prefer the story's villain faction to be playable, or ought they be controlled by the GMs entirely--or is a middle ground best? A: A middle ground would be preferable, I think. There is, once again, an easier path to take if the villain faction is controlled entirely by the GMs, but then again - I found it to be that more fun if there is some sort of a middle ground there, allowing more personalized stories and characters arc to develop around it. Q: Should there be a limit to how many characters a player can make? A: Ah, definitely. I've been in a quite a few RPs where one person had one character, whilst some other people had around 5 to 10 characters, because there was no cap. I don't mind having a two-three characters limit, but no limit at all can get out of hand pretty darn fast. It's a good way to go around having less people involved in the RP, but at the same time, I am just not digging the no cap method. Q: ???? A: Ah, the toughest question yet. I'll get back to you on this one.
