You can only have 3 Techniques or 3 spells or 1 gift. 

 My thoughts on the portal usage is that it sounds over-powered especially for a level one user; however, I never like telling a person no. I was thinking that at your current state, you can leave a single checkpoint to tele-port towards. Ex.) If you leave a 'checkpoint' at a gas station bathroom, you could be hundreds of miles away, but you would be transported there. The checkpoint is free to change. That's my idea concerning your gift.
