I feel the need to explain Kobold breeding habits and relationships. Just to keep it clear and understood.

I'll slip it into a hider just in case I wright way more than I really should.

Kobolds are possessed by a great deal of libido, a great instinctual need to breed. Likely this is due to when they were little more than animals, before even the prometians enslaved them, because kobolds were of course low on the food chain and to compensate were numerous. In this age kobolds still breed frequently, to the point that if two kobolds of opposite gender are nearby and not doing anything important they are likely to breed.
Marriage is a foreign idea to the Kobold race, however love is still a thing of course. Two kobolds may grow to fancy one another and are considered each other's lovers. The two will mate with each other more frequently, however it is not some sacred bond, if either kobold feels the need to breed and is away from their lover they will mate with another and there is no problem with that.

When it comes to the family unit, any children born will belong and be raised by the mother, and depending on the situation may never even know their father.
