[sub]T H E F I E L D S // Graham Tosches // As The Earth Cries[/sub]

Graham looked upward in terror induced awe as the great leviathan rose from the earth sundering the very earth like a rod of judgement cast down from the skies above. Years of training kicked in almost immediately upon the sight of the creature, muscles moving in a well rehearsed act as his legs dropped into a ready stance muscles tensed with anticipation and ready to spring at a moment's notice like a bear trap falling upon its pray. Hands grabbed two familiar handles coated in thick dark leather that melded easily to his grip as he pulled the daggers free from there bindings, cold reflecting off a pair of blue eyes looking intently above. He'd run the simulations before, everyone had run the simulations before but there was no true comparison to the feeling in the moment. They weren't able to replicate the feeling of the warm breath bellowing out from the creatures gargantuan body or the tremble in the earth as it moved. But that was to be expected, he wasn't in the safety of Oakridge anymore he was out in the big bad world. He felt something stir, a feeling that he hadn't felt in a long time something deep in the pit of his stomach that churned and thrashed wanting to be released. It was fear. He was actually scared for the first time in years. He hadn't felt fear since Anna died, there was no reason anymore he had lost everything so there was no need to fear anything but there was that old feeling creeping back up on him again. He found himself unable to prevent the small chuckle that escaped from his mouth. A release of joy, of gladness to feel such a feeling again odd as it sounded. "Let's Dance!" Almost immediately the Guardians began their retort against the great beast. First was Monika with all the deadly grace and efficiency that Graham expected from her moving with the thunderous swings of an executioner. Next Nicholas came into the fight moving in to exploit the hole that Monika had created moving like a man taken over by something else entirely lashing out against the beast. The barrage continued as Rogart moved in next the gargantuan Guardian charged the creature and once again pushed relentless. As the Mordem recovered from the series of blows presented to it, Graham saw the opening he was looking for. He felt the spirits gathered up him twirling in a great vortex of excitement and tremendous energy feeding off of his own adrenaline rush just begging to be released. He focused on the rush and only the rush as he felt some sort of inner threshold shatter and in a burst of electrical energy appeared running from the tips of his blades to the soles of his feet, the energy created by the excited spirits sparking, his own blue iris no longer the color of a clear's summer's day but of a raging thunderstorm. He wasn't going to ruin away this time, he couldn't run away this time, these were the creatures that had caused everyone so much pain and suffering. These were the creatures that had killed his Father. There was no running this time, there was only action. He exploded suddenly the tense cords of muscle expanding sudden;ly like a taught rope being cut. His eyes had fallen dead on the Mordem ahead of him eyes focused ahead of him. The Morderm let out a hellish screech that rattled Graham's bones but did not halt his advance as a large tendril like claw came smashing down with a surprising amount of speed behind it. Graham slide as the arm came crashing down splattering himself with mud as the arm barely missed sending chucks of debris his way peppering his body some probably leaving bruises later but nothing too concerning. He pushed forward taking the opening to close the distance. As Graham gets closer he tosses one of the daggers into the beasts core and throws the other one higher up. Glancing blows the beast only roared in a show of strength as the daggers did not bury themselves deep enough to cause any damage. Graham didn't seem phased by this and kept on running towards the creature. He jumped and grabbed the first dagger and using his Guardian imbued strength pulled himself upward with it launching himself straight towards the second dagger where he performed the same feat again pushing himself up the beast now with both daggers as he landed atop its back. In one swift motion he plunged the two blades down hard into the base of the creatures upper "neck area" as it thrashed about trying to throw him off. These attacks where the ones that found purchase sinking deep between earthen plates and splashing the young guardian with darkened blood. The creature thrash hard but Graham remained where he was continually twisting the blades deeper into the creatures' neck to keep its attention on him, a stupid grin upon his face. "Ms.Celestine! May I suggest stabbing the forsaken thing while I have it pissed off! It may be more helpful than standing there slack-jawed!" Graham shouted though his voice seemed distance over the roar of the the creature that he still was clinging too.

[sub]M O U T A I N P A T H // Roxelana ‘Roxie’ Cacciatore // Of Ash and Stone[/sub]

Roxelana regrouped with the others rather quickly after he brief meeting with the mayor of the town. The exchange of information confirmed that the only real solid lead they had was to push into the mountain proper and found out truly what was going on. The mines it seemed would hold the key to the investigation and finding their lost Eidolon. Though it seemed that Selene had picked up another straggler along the way this time a large wolf. There was wolves were she came from but none as big as this one and none that exerted such a spiritual presence as he. Roxie fought an instinctual urging to dissect the creature to find out the mysterious that lay inside and told herself that the dissection could occur at a latter date. Without any further delay they began to move there way up the mountain. As the path started to give way it seemed that Subria's observations were true as there was telltale signs of activity in the area mostly by the thick layer of ash that coated the rock face around them getting darker and darker as they pushed ever forward. They move at a slow pace as every step sent part of the pathway crumbling down below into the deep abyss. They continued to push onward as most of the foliage vanished and soon the village looked nothing but a small dot fading from view. Remains of small shacks used by the workers as resting posts on the path remained only as charred husks of prefabricated materials burned away. There were no bodies to be seen but there was the chilling reminder of their existence etched into the very stone. Shadows were burned into the rock-face floor some in fear others trying to run away, the only remnants of people caught in a great and fiery blast. Ahead of them the rock itself was burnt away to grey ash and blacked cinders. She could still feel the spirits moving ahead of them going up the path begin drawn towards a large and powerful mass somewhere deep below congregating and swarming together. Roxie could only look at the carnage about her as they moved slightly impressed by the sheer power of it all, and wondering what the power could do if properly harnessed. But still the great shadow of unease rested over her shoulders as the whole situation felt wrong in one way or another. "Anyone else getting as bad of a feeling as I'm right now?"

After Rogart's brutal assault Graham finds his opening and moves in on G A S T R I D A M O N but not before channeling Delvosh granting himself. [+Frenzy] The Creature attacks him first and Graham is able to barely dodge the lighting fast appendage only being pelted by minor debris from its impact. Using his daggers as tools he scales the beast Shadow of the Colossus style and plunges the daggers deep into the back portion of the creature's 'neck'. Doing some damage and at least getting it pretty angry. Roxelana on the other hand ascends the mountain path with her companions pushing closer and closer towards the mine entrance. As they come across carnage of what once was one of the mining outpost set up on the path between the mine and the village, the carnage of it all is staggering as everything was consumed by unrelenting flame. The ascent though had been too quiet and she couldn't help but feeling that something was amiss.
