[Hider= Character Sheet: Rylla] [b]Name:[/b] Rylla Starr [b]Alias:[/b] N/A [b]Age:[/b] 13 [b]Gender:[/b] Female [b]Powers/Abilities:[/b] Has a fair amount of magical ability, which derives from her ancestors, as such can sense the magical aura in others. Her main power is used to control the Starr Cards, powerful cards that were created by her ancestors and passed down through her family using the Sealing Wand or Starr Wand. These cards have various abilities depending on which one is used, 52 in total. The Cards were created by the half-English, half-Chinese sorcerer named Reed Starr. They are the result of the combination of Eastern and Western magics and formed the basis for a new kind of magic unlike any other seen so far. The cards are all stored inside the Starr Book, sealed with powerful magic and passed down from generation to generation within the family. The cards represent a combination of Eastern and Western magic centered on the concepts of natural forces and elements. The cards can only be controlled under your command if you become it's owner. In order for it to be yours, you must sign your name, otherwise they can run loose again. The card will go to whoever binds it's power, meaning the one who defeated it. Each card has its own personality, ranging from good-natured to violent and its own powers that are mostly centered around an elemental force or performing a specific task. When in use or acting on their own, the cards assume alternative forms that vary from card to card. Within the deck, there is a hierarchy. Firstly comes the Master/Mistress of the Cards, below them are the Four Elements (the Earthy, the Firey, the Windy and the Watery) and the Two Attributes (Light and Dark). The remaining forty-six cards are divided up between those six. Each attribute has seven cards under them, while each element has eight under it. [b]Weaknesses:[/b] Being young in age, Rylla has very little experience in the field of battle. She often gets nervous in fights and is not very confrontation in nature, meaning she often hesitates when action is needed. Her magical abilities are also still developing, meaning her ability to control the Starr cards is rather limited at this point, meaning at this point she can only manage to use one card at a time, though has hopes of being able to use multiple in the future, some of the more powerful cards rendering her weak or even unconscious after use. She can only use the cards after summoning the Sealing/Starr wand, which requires a verbal incantation and a short space of uninterrupted time. Should she be separated from the wand or card/s she would have to retrieve it again before being able to use any more cards. She must also always carry the book or cards around with her, as she can’t use their power without the cards physically present. One last drawback is that not all of the cards are useful in battle, as that was not their original intention and balance was needed in order to create them. So whilst some present obvious uses, others may have to be used in more creative ways to be useful, or perhaps avoided all together in a fight, limiting her options further. [b]History:[/b] Born into a magical family on her mother’s side she was trained from a very young age to harness her magical powers and began to learn how to use the Starr cards, learning all their abilities, personalities and uses. Only a few months ago the cards were given to her and transferred to her name, which was odd as it was usually later in their teens that the cards would change hands. However the reasoning for this became apparent when her mother and father died in a car accident a month or so later. Her mother having been her mentor, since there was no other, had arranged for a friend of hers to take to Rylla to a place where she’d be able to continue to develop her magical abilities through practical experience, organising for her to join a new group of young super heroes that had been spoken about forming a few months prior. Uses a specially crafted crossbow with a quick reload. -Has a close, almost physic bond with Valor, but this is just a matter of the pair having been together since they were both very young.
