[@Silver Fox]I do to, but I think that it makes sense that he stopped being a dick sense, as he's taken on more responsibilities and been through so much, that he'd become more mature and respectable. I like the Ratchet that he's grown into. So, following this train of thought, what do you think about the movie that's coming out.
Except the new game is a reboot. THIS Ratchet has not been through what original Ratchet has went through. I am completely fine with Ratchet as he has grown through the games. He grew out of being a jerk as time went on. New Ratchet is brand new. He's starts as a fanboy to Captain Quark and Skidd McMarx, he had to lie to Clank in order to travel with him to warn Captain Quark. He's a dreamer of 'Oh I want to be a hero instead of a mechanic!' Old Ratchet, comparing first game to first game version. Original Ratchet was a dick, and he did know of Captain Quark and Skidd McMarx, but he was never a fanboy. He even told Skid 'Oh, you want me to save you? What's in it for me?' And was more interested in fame rather then saving the universe. He grew out of this of course. And he was the smart one. He didn't buy other people's BS. Like when he saw there was a trap and felt like it was wrong, but innocent little Clank went 'no we can trust this!' I don't hate the new Ratchet. His personality though is just something we've seen before as the starter hero type. But that's also expected as the story is being told by Captain Quark so I can't complain xD As for the movie, I haven't seen it yet (if it's out) but I'm skeptical.
I enjoyed all of both game series. I just liked Rachet and Clank better.
Same. Might be nostalgia, just felt like original had a charm to it. But I was soooo happy to have auto support guns in the new game Edit: now that I think about it. Kinda funny. Ratchet starts off as a dick but grows out of it. Jak starts off as a nice guy but grows into a dick to kinda a nice guy.
