I haven't given the power(s) a ton of thought; I was hoping to catch some insight as to what would be within the parameters of the setting. One thing that crossed my mind was a connection to one of the Old Gods, or some other extra-planar entity, who could offer knowledge about the past and hints of the future. Another idea was being able to summon or commune with a pantheon of "demons" who advise and help her. In terms of backstory, I've narrowed her origin to Lemuria; she is a descendant of one of the Warlord's generals, and her aim could be to restore order to the fractured tribes and continue his work. Her consorting with demons and the like could incline her followers to believe she was blessed.
Hmm! When you mentioned Jeanne D'Arc this wasn't nearly what I was expecting. I was almost certain that you were going for some manner of female paladin, potentially armed with "holy" magic, and possibly connected to the majority religion of the Iron Kingdoms. In any case, let's work with this new angle of a female warlord. Really any connection to entities beyond this world are unnecessary for her to have power. Vague pre/post-cognition could be entirely within her own power. But if you really want some sort of outside influence, there are no shortage of dark gods willing to take patronage over such an influential and impressionable figure. The "Dark Gods of the North" are one choice, though their influence is malevolent and corrupting. The "Dead Gods" (of the south and west, but that's not part of the title) are another, but they are quite alien entities, and all are keenly omnicidal. The Old Gods are distinctly absent in the Age of Dawn, leaving us with a sort of "Devil but no God" scenario. The backstory is fine, just be aware that Lemuria is a bastard mish-mash of various ethnic Russian tribes and Mongol nomads. I admittedly know less than I'd like about the cultures I'm ripping off, so I can't provide too much input on their choices of religion and/or stance on demons, so I leave it up to you in that regard. Just be aware that demons are not fun things to be around, and are near-exclusively the domain of the Dark Gods of the North. In any case, I hope this helped you out a bit.
Yeah, I'm working on a character.
Any concepts or ideas I can assist you with?
