Okay, this is getting slightly complicated. A gift is an overall power that can be strengthen as time progresses and certain variations will follow possibly. Thamaturgy is spells. 

It's like a gift is controlling fire. You can hurl that fire, use the fire to levitate, and so on. Although, having three fire spells is different because you are limited to that specific spell. 

You are stating your gift has two powers: telekinesis and telepathy. Just choose one, or make it into spells. If you want to change your character, you have that right.
