Lux is a generally withdrawn person, he isn't overly fond of being in the spotlight. Having always been known as the quiet brother, with Castor being the outgoing one. Since the loss of his brother, he's been particularly impassive. Lux is serious, hard working and grounded. He knows what he's good at and likes to stick to it, so much so that he isn't very adventurous or brave when it comes to anything new. Then again, he wasn't known as the brave brother either, he is the cautious one. Always thinking rather than doing, he's terrible for over-analysing things.  

Despite being withdrawn Lux likes being around people, at least when he's on land, he just doesn't necessarily enjoy interacting with them, he much prefers it if he can be near them but apart from them. Often labelled the 'man of few words' when he talks, he tends to be direct and to the point. He doesn't like to sugar-coat things and has been accused of lacking empathy. On top of that, he isn't very good at spinning out conversation, he'll give it a whirl on occasion but he won't go out of his way to keep it going.  

Lux is especially funny about his 'personal space', in the respect that he isn't fond of people touching him unless he's comfortable with them. Even if he is comfortable with them, he may still complain about being in close proximity with someone. He doesn't often express anger, he's got a high level of tolerance and is often thought of as an easy target because he won't stand up for himself or give people much of a reaction. He's a mystery to most, mainly because he has yet to meet someone willing to chip away his shell and see whether there is more to him than first meets the eye. [/center]
 
[center][b]Background:[/b]

Lux's life has been entwined with his brothers since he was born. Being identical twins they were persistently pushed together and mistaken for one another as they grew up, despite the fact they had completely different temperaments. As life goes, the twins had it easy. Their parents had money, a large property in England and a network of businesses where their names carried weight. Lux and Castor may not have seen their parents all that often but they had each other and money to tide them over. 

Their wealth continued to benefit them when their parents sent them off to a private boarding school, coupled with their good looks and swimming prowess they were placed at the top of most social hierarchy's. It's no secret that without Castor, Lux would have been lost within the crowd, he lacked the charisma of his brother. As the years passed people did become interested in him for how he was, though both brothers swam in competitions, Lux was far more dedicated to the sport.  

When Castor was busy tending to his social life and depleting his parents money, Lux was busy training before he came to college he'd beaten his brother in several competitions and was looking at a wealthy scholarship that would take him out of the country. Tired with Castor's careless spending and lack of direction, his parents made the decision to move both of them both abroad. Whilst Lux got into the university with the help of a scholarship, his parents paid for a chunk of Castor's tuition so he could go with him but cut them both off financially in hopes that it would encourage them to stand on their own two feet. 
 
Castor didn't make it to university. On one of the rare occasions that Lux went out with Castor and his friends, a dangerous prank went wrong and Castor was killed. After his brothers death Lux's life changed dramatically, having always depended on him to function in some way, he's had no choice but to learn how to cope without him. Living in another country and cut off from his grieving parents, Lux has been working to support his college education and keep himself afloat. The serious side of life was always his area of expertise anyway, without Castor though his social identity is near enough none existent. 

Fuelled by the need to top up his finances, he's found himself signing up for an experiment despite his better judgement and hoping it won't have any lasting effects. 
 
 
[b]Chosen Pill Color:[/b] Emerald 

[b]Power:[/b] Neon Gas Manipulation

When Lux took the pill, he developed the ability to manipulate neon gas. One of the noble gases placed just below Argon on the periodic chart, neon is one of the most abundant gasses in the universe...unfortunately it isn't as easily accessible on earth being that there is approximately only 0.0018% of it in the Earth's atmosphere. To counteract this Lux's appendix grew and mutated so that it could also store neon gas and then duplicate it, feeding it into his veins it then travels around his body in mutated red blood cells. 
 
When he utilizes his powers his body releases large doses of the chemical stimulants epinephrine and norepinephrine (Stress hormones) this natural reaction stimulates the mutated blood cells and causes the neon gas to seep out of his skin. At the same time it causes the mutated sodium-potassium gates within his system to open and send strong low voltage electrical pulses through his nervous system stimulating the neon gas to glow an orange-reddish color.

In order to utilize his powers Lux needs to get worked up, an adrenaline rush is the only way to get his power to kick start. Even a small amount of adrenaline can get him 'fired' up meaning it is increasingly difficult for him to keep his power under wraps. The stronger the adrenaline rush the brighter he glows and the more effective his abilities are. 

If Lux envelopes himself in neon gas, not only does he become a neon torch, he can also 'run on air' and move at high speeds, though the entire show is rather flashy and a solo trip, he can't transport other people with this ability. Alongside this, Lux can concentrate a mass of neon gas around fists, lower arms, lower legs and feet giving his kicks and punches a power boost and a chance of giving his enemy a cold burn.
 
[b]Other:[/b] 

-Lux has only physically struck out at one person, just after the death of his brother when he was asked why he didn't share his immortality with his twin.  
-He can play the guitar alongside being able to swim and surf. 
-When on land Lux tends to wear an assortment of 'surfer' jewellery, particulary a [url=http://www.shellhorizons.com/products/nk-912-t.jpg] shark tooth necklace [/url] given to him by his brother.
-Doesn't often tell people but he's actually a talented horseman, however since the death of his brother he avoids anything to do with horses.
-Lux suffers from insomnia, since losing his brother he barely sleeps if at all, he also avoids travelling in motor vehicles. 
-Lux is British and has the accent to prove it.
