[@StoneWolf] I was wondering if there is any chance my character could be a freshie Marine trapped deep in enemy territory, the rest of his unit either killed or MIA, who happens to communicate wih your task force, and bands up for the sake of survival (I mean, I would think they wouldn't leave him behind.) 

If not, (which is totally fine with me, I don't want to alter your vision for this.) I'd most definitely be happy with the demolitions position, making things go boom sounds like my type of badassery.
