She can't choose whether to manifest or not some of her Edges. Once it's there, it's there for good, and it will be there whether she wants it or not(so, for example, her regeneration slowly mutates her into something "more than human" and she can't do anything about it even if she wanted to stay human). As I wrote before, one of major roadblocks on her development is to find new challenges which would not be trivialized by Edges she already has(so she might have to resort to doing stupid things that she's not prepared to deal with).
