Lady Rachel Brekken
Rachel cringed at Pereylias use of the term "m'lady" having grown to dislike the term far before having met her. She lagged behind the woman knight, taking shallow breaths and stopping every few steps to hunch over and attempt to catch her breath. It was useless. She was simply not used to traveling on foot for this long. How was her guide able to do so without so much as breaking a sweat? In full plated armor, no less! Rachel could at least take comfort in the fact that she hadn't complained at all during their travel, struggling silently instead of burdening her guide. Rachel did not desire anyones pity. Pereylia warns her casually that the journey ahead will be hard and yet, all Rachel can think of is that it will be exciting, filled with adventure and glory! And most importantly? It was not the courts. She brushed her hands down the length of her thighs, currently clothed with a stained pair of riding pants before standing upright and following Pereylia into the large hall. -- "LORD COMMANDER!!!!! SHES BACK!!! SHE ISN'T DEAD!!!" -- 'What? Why is he so excited about their arrival?' Rachel thought to herself, her eyebrows raising in surprise for the briefest of moments. She had figured that Pereylia was more important than she had let on but, the reaction of the servant boy had still caught her off guard. She could feel the eyes in the room pull to where they stood. She cleared her throat and stepped forward to stand next to the woman knight. "I am Lady Rachel of House Brekken. I have traveled with Knight Pereylia with the intention of training to become part of the order." Her voice broke a bit as she was still out of breath and she had nearly curtsied at the end of her statement out of habit. Perhaps it is true that old habits die hard. Running her hand through her disheveled locks, she attempted to regain her composure as her eyes scanned the other occupants in the room. If she was to learn, she needed to study and that included those she'd be spending her days with.
