You know how people can go to Pallet/New Bark/Little Root or whatever for a pokemon from their regions professor?

I'm saying what if a character lived in a larger city like Goldenrod, or Celadon, and traveled to the place where they would be receiving their pokemon.

I was planning on playing some sort of punkish city kid, or a kid from a large city in general.
