Jess watched silently as Omega tried to find her once more. It wasn't like she'd been taught because she'd started out small lifting an describing what she had been presented while wearing a blacked out helmet that nor only obscured her normal vision but monitored her brain activity while she did what she'd been commanded to do.

The helmet had actually in the beginning interfered with her magnetic spatial awareness by creating almost a white noise. She'd asked that they use just a blindfold but the squints had refused telling her that she'd simply need to learn a way around it.

It had taken her a week to learn how to shift frequencies to negate the noise and when she did they shifted the sensors frequency and accusing her of tampering which was untrue. 

They had continued to press her to perform their test and accusing her of tampering it was then that she realized that she was becoming invisible to the magnetic sensors by focusing her control on frequencies their sensors weren't calibrated to detect. The squints had then proved how clever they were by making an even more complicated sensor grid that shifted through the magnetic bands on multiple levels simultaneously. not to be out done by her antagonists she'd developed a more subtle approach that used their own sensors to boost her of awareness by layering her own complex signal.  It was how she learned to disappear off of even the most sensitive scopes in the lab. This lead to her realizing that she could use this new found control to disappear from the larger sensors they used to track her in flight.
