"Not personally," Bendis replied, "but my grandson informed me that he found their camp just over four miles roughly north of our village.  When we arrive at Ironcliff he'll mark it on my map so that we can find it.  We will have the opportunity to get supplies there, so there won't be any need to buy basic goods here."

"Thank you," he said, nodding at the man. "Now, if there are any more questions you may ask them on the way there, we will be taking a boat he sent to pick us up, so there is no need to buy basic supplies here, where you'll have to pay city prices.  Now, please follow me."

After he was done speaking he lead them out of the amphitheater and to the docks. He motioned to a large fishing boat that was docked there.  "It will take them about an hour to finish loading supplies.  You can help, or board, or go pick up last minute supplies.  Just don't make us wait for you, or I may forget you are coming and leave without you."

A few hours later the ship lowered its sails and glided towards the docks in Ironcliff.  When they had tied it down, Bendis walked down the ramp only to be greeted by a hug from a fifteen year old girl. "Grandpa" she screamed as she grabbed him.

"Daffodil, what are you doing here?  Shouldn't you be studying?" he asked.

"Aunt Jenna is having another baby, and Pinta is her midwife, so Brother was helping me through some of my lessons."  She had been living with her mom's brother and his wife since her father had died.  It didn't surprise Bendis that Jenna was having her sixth child or that his grandson's betrothed was the midwife. "But now that you're here, you can teach me magic.  Brother says that all he knows is how to make his sword cut better."

"Well, there is that restorative meditation I taught him, but that's not really magic.  It takes a long time to learn something like magic, though.  It'll have to wait until after the mission."

"That's ok," she said, having tricked her grandfather into agreeing to teach her magic.  "This way."  She lead them to a stone house in the center of town with the symbol of Seril on the door, the symbol made of finely forged steel.  She knocked and a man of eighteen answered, wearing steel armor and carrying a longsword and shield.

"Hello, grandfather, I see you brought the adventurers with you."  He motioned to the others.  "Come inside, I'll tell you what I learned."  He then looked at Daffodil.  "Go see if Pinta is done yet.  She'll want to participate in the planning."

"I'm not your servant, Gregor, I'm your sister." she responded, then ran off to get the Harvest priestess.
