Buzzing life, incredible sceneries and Urbanised sections that balance out the very existence of the Settler's survival. Collections of towns, keeps, forts, swamps, marshes, mountains and so much more! Oh, but there's so much more to this Island than just the Locations. The Kingdom has always been known for its high profile in Peace and Harmony. Nothing had ever taken anything down the wrong pathway, as Royalty was true to the freedom and treatment of its subjects. Life was deemed to be one of a kind for years to come, forever and ever. Halting conflicts between the two Races known to the Kingdom, the Freomlorn and the Aislu. The Freomlorn are a Mass-Collection of all the Sub-Species who were born under the First King's Ancestry. Having the Blood of the First King has given them what many consider to be the Next-Chain in Evolution, or at least the first Path. These were generally praised for being greater in Strength, Numbers and were strong to many religious backgrounds. The Aislu, however, were rather different. They contained the same Sub-Species Groups that inhabited the Kingdom's land, but weren't originating from the King's Bloodline. These were from what they believe to be Arkua Aislu's Bloodline, an ancient hero whom provided safety during the First Settler's arrival using an ultimate Power known as the Chias. The Chias was then distributed downwards to his sons and daughters, and then onwards down to their sons and daughters. After Centuries passed, the Aislu were a recognised group of individuals. Though they do not possess the Complete Chias, each individual born to this bloodline was capable of discovering Three to Four Auras that connected to the Soul and Specified Bloodline. These two species were amongst the most successful, and other Races that attempted to Rise against the Kingdom were suppressed by the unstoppable collaboration between the Fremlorn and the Aislu. However, times changed when the Throne was handed over to King Riaktho IV, a true Freomlorn who seized it over his elder Brother in The Royal War. Disagreeing greatly with the amount of Freedom that had been handed to the Chias for their service to the Kingdom, seeing it as an Open Window for Uprising and Insurgency, and began to slowly Abolish the Rights provided to these People. Taking away freedom and small laws was only the start, as he began to abolish them from Major Cities, restricting their access into Militarised Keeps and Towns. Within the First Month, a Protest Started. People in the Protest covered their faces with Makeshift Turbans in a Stone-Grey texture, as for identity safety, and began a long march around the Kingdom, protesting against the Oppression they were being forced upon. With Riaktho seeing this as an issue, thinking it would lead to even more distress and danger towards his cause, he waited until they continued their March through the Alsto Mountains, setting up an Ambush of Archers and Crossbowmen, one of which was Juliua Tyrak, one of the few trusted Chias to the King's name. As soon as the Protesters passed through Mount Versalip and Mount Huran, also known as the Natural Corridor, it only took 3 Minutes for their cause to be halted. The Protesters were shot dead, leaving nothing behind with no casualties on the King's Side. Juliua, realising the King's tyranny and his own mistakes, departed from the scene, heading South to spread the tragic news of the Slaughter. One more week passed, and something had risen to the challenge of the King's Might. Creating Armour, and adding the addition of Grey-well made Turbans in commemoration for the fallen Protesters, the Chias Rebellion, more informally known to the Kingdom as the Grey-Band Rebellion, was afoot. This is the story of two sides. The Aislu and the Freomlorn, battling it out to serve under what rights they have left. This is the Insurgency that shook the History of Mrak, forever. Long live the King, or let his blood spill in vengeance.
Welcome, to the Grey-Band insurgency, a Fantasy Life/War Roleplay revolving around two separate sides to a Kingdom's splitting during a mechanical revolution. Taking on these two tales, forming mostly around the lower-ranking individuals who are put into the struggle, it'd give multiple interpretations of each alliance. This Roleplay has been developed by myself and [@DoodleKnight] based off of a small idea a few months ago, and I decided to turn this into a Thread based off of what I thought this could be on a much larger scale. Also, instead of its predecessor, this will be focusing more on the general struggle these individuals face in Mrak, rather than just the Open Combat and raids both parties would seemingly provide with consistence. Therefore, I imagine that larger opportunities are available rather than just simply focusing on the battles and whatnot.

The Characters

Characters in this Roleplay can be chosen off of two Races, and numerous sub-divisions of blood and relation. Each race has its own small advantages and disadvantages, especially when accounted for the sub-divisions, whom also carry specified aspects only unique to themselves. There is no strict guideline on what to be, minus certain mixing of affiliation that does not apply to certain class-divisions. Which brings me onto the next point, the two affiliations.
The Freomlorn are the descendants of the First King of Mrak, who settled within its landscape roughly 4000 years prior to the current events, during the Second Era of Civilisation. Some of the Sub-Divisions within this race aren't direct descendants from the King's Divisional background, hence why there are multiple different kinds of each individual. What they excel in most throughout Mrak is their larger strength, though it can differ, as well as Mass-Numbers and political power over their adversaries. There are several religions that surround their upbringing and lifestyle, which many choose to follow.
So to say, the Halk are considered the structural strength and supports of the First Empire. The Halk were also foretold to be the Baseplate and design for all Sub-Divisions alike within the Freomlorn. The Halk usually bear moderately pale skin, though not the palest, and differ in all natural shadings and colours when it comes to hair. Those born with the blood of the Halk are known for their abilities to contain natural resistances to the Elements, boosting their capabilities as the more Nomadic Division. Though they do not possess powers of completely repelling rather extreme climates, they have a better chance of making it through, making them the ideal explorers.

The Natural combatants of Mrak, the Jyual are known for their instinctive advantage with the Blade and Blunt weaponry the Royal Guard and Royal Expeditionary Forces have to offer. Most of these descendants are recruited into some sort of Military standing amongst the King's strength, however a fair few do choose to be more civil and uphold their own private peace on homesteads or within smaller towns. Those who are within this Division usually aren't to be trifled with, as everyone knows a drunken Jyual Male is a death-sentence if confronted. These individuals usually are presented as the palest complexions throughout Mrak.

Distinctively recognisable by the darker shadings within their Skin Tone, the Dayju are known as the most intelligent Division the Kingdom has to offer. Usually bearing brown to black hair, with a mixed colouring surrounding their skin, they were thought to have descended from Julai McNami, the third daughter of the First King who appeared far darker than her sisters. The intelligence that the the Dayju presented was usually put to use in building up wealth and private businesses, however some took this advantage to assist the King's name as either strategists or as advisers. Those, however, who had strength sometimes were found amongst the fighting forces of the King's ranks. The Natural intelligence assists them where strength and overall power may not be on their side.

The King's Royal Forces consists of two branches, the Royal Guardsmen and the Royal Expeditionary Force. Both of them form two separate armies keen on defending the King's rights. Mainly consisting of the Jyual, their standing is fierce and seemingly unstoppable. However, they do differentiate in tasks and soldiers, some groups having different Divisions linked into their standing. To start with, the Royal Guardsmen are known for their brutal defences, having been deployed at numerous Holds and Cities throughout Mrak. Their task, as you'd expect, is to uphold the peace and suppress any dangers that lurk near their morales. Usually holding the majority of the King's best marksmen, both Bow and New-Age Rifle, they cannot be taken for granted. They have the largest arsenal of the New-Age Rifle, a modernised weapon firing exactly like a Musket would, giving them most of the range needed to fend off any approaching armies that threaten Capital urbanised areas. They split into multiple Regiments, which split into smaller Garrisons. There's the Grenadiers Regiment, honing great skill in Cannon Defences and Small-Blade combat. Secondly, the Marksmen Regiment consists of mainly bowmen and crossbowmen. As said, Rifles are quite uncommon due to their seemingly new arrival into society. The Marksmen Regiment are also capable of Small-Blade Combat. Next up, there's the Defensive Regiment, which is made up of soldiers selected from all the other Regiments during the time of need. They usually specialise in Anti-Siege combat, boasting skill with Large and Medium Blades, Pikes, Axes and Shields. They are considered the Guard's most elite group. Finally, there's the Watchmen Regiment, the local authority for towns and holds. They're usually peace-keepers that enforce the law in certain areas, making sure there's little threats to the homes and citizens of the Kingdom. They are usually equipped with Simple Swords and shields, though a few are known for carrying Bows for the slightest engagement in Raids from smaller bandit groups that used to roam near towns. The Royal Expeditionary Force are the King's personal advancement army. They are mostly used for Battles that revolve outside of Holds and towns, being the Frontal assault against any larger threats. Being formed only recently with the arise of the Insurgency, they provide fast and hard-hitting movement across the Kingdom that ensures defeat to not be an option. They also specialise in Multi-Climate combat, though that doesn't say the environment will never get the best of them. There are a few Regiments that build the Expeditionary Force upwards, starting with the Infantry Regiment. As you'd expect, these are the generic foot-soldiers that build the huge majority of the Force. Sometimes seen as Cannon-Fodder from the point of view of Civilians and the Opposing Force, they grow in size and are mostly known for their seemingly single task of defeating the enemy, even at the cost of their own lives. Secondly, there's the Cavalry Regiment, the Horse-Back soldiers that roam around with expertise in Flanking and Quick-Assaults. They are deadly, far more difficult to defeat and succumb victory against. Pikemen and Swordsmen at the most, they provide quick and seemingly unstoppable charges against their opponents. They also do specialise in Cargo Movement and Transportation, making them the more active of the group. Next, there's the Ranged Regiment, sometimes referred to as the Hellfire Regiment. Rarely even seeing a Rifle in sight, they specialise in Crossbow and Bow combat, tearing up the opposition with large rallies of arrows and bolts. They are, if caught up close, relatively difficult to take down, having a surprising mastery in CQC. Finally, there's the last Garrison. This isn't considered a Regiment, but has be deemed the name of Captain Volaski's Advanced Mastery Force, a small Task-Force of the best elected troops to embark on Specialised raids and assaults that aren't suited for the standard Regiments.

The Aislu are the second Race that roam the lands of Mrak. Believed to have descended from the great hero, Arkua Aislu, after he defeated the natural sinister species that attempted to defend Mrak from the settlers, many under his blood share the same inner-possession. Gifted with an intense power known as the Chias, his children were given split segments of what he possessed. The Chias was a unique power that hosted the Aislu, as it does not regulate a specified ability to set groups. Each individual bearing certain signs of the Chias are prized with a unique set of three abilities, ranging amongst the categories of Illusion, Conjuration, Offensive, Defensive, Passive and Alteration. Considered sometimes as a lower species, due to their slightly less natural strength, they had been oppressed over the many years of the Second Era of Civilisation. After already once turning Mrak into a battlefield by going against the Fifth King, they won themselves rights to acceptance and equality, though the Oppression has arisen once more. The Chias is also something that needs to be discovered by the user, certain emotions and mindsets can trigger them, meaning great skill is needed to master the Chias.
The Garea are known for being the Foothold to the Aislu. They are direct descendants to the original Chias Master, making them more adaptable in the field of Combat. They are the lighter skinned of the two Divisions of Aislu, and bear the usual lighter-toned hair. They are thought of to be the more strengthened of the two Divisions, as well, making them ideal for the Rebellion's structure. Their specified ability that singles them out from the others is that they hone Great Stamina over the other species, which had made them ideal messengers back in the past. Now, it provides them with consistent soldiers to fill the Grey-Band Insurgents, accompanying the Chias they own.

The Tynal are the more intelligent Division compared to their familiars, the Garea. They have a slightly toned skin, making it seem more tanned than their companions. It blends between the shading of the Jyual and the Dayju. Their hair varies to darker shades of multiple colours, and sometimes can provide a more open natural beauty to the world, being believed to be Hua's descendents, the Second Son of Arkua. The Tynal, along with their intelligence, have been blessed with certain aspects brought down from the Aislu Civil War 193 Years prior to the events happening now. Their powers sometimes become further-stretched compared to their allies, meaning they can, if it links to what the Chias has chosen, fill their three powers as the same category. If they had been blessed with it, and on rare occasions, a Tynal may possess three Offensive powers that provide them extra lethality.

Having being given the opportunity, the Grey-Band Rebel Alliance was formed in retaliation for the King's uprising in Oppression and murder. Wearing similar, improvised clothing that relates to anything they could get their hands on, it's rare to see one Ranker from the Alliance to look similar with their attire to another. The only similarity is that each individual wears some sort of black-grey hood, mask, band or turban around their head, masking their face. This was done in respect for the protesters massacred in the Canyons, as they wore them to hide their faces to avoid arrest for illegal protesting. They spread out across a vast area, too many areas for the Expeditionary Force to strike in one go. This is what has given them the chance to not yet be defeated. Generally undermined by the King and his forces, they almost match the scale and lethality that the Royal Forces hold, having the Chias to assist them wear needed. Many weren't originally soldiers, mostly citizens of Mrak, however those who defected from the Royal Guard, such as their noble Leader Juliua Tyrak, were made into high-ranking Officers that trained those below them. Within time, they were all an even resistance against their Opposition. Many of those within the ranks of the Alliance haven't yet discovered all of their Chias, especially those with Combat-Effective powers. Many discover their Chias abilities during combat, or during their time with the Alliance itself.

Here, I'll get a nice little template of a Character Sheet. This doesn't have to be followed exactly how I plan it, as you can decorate it in anyway possible. However, try to ensure you have all the relevant and necessary requirements and pieces of information to ensure the Character is fully developed. I won't be accepting every character given, if they aren't to the standard I see fit, so try to put some effort into it.

Final Words

1. The First rule is that I am a god here. You listen to my word, and if you disagree, you can disagree as long as it utilises a civil manner. 2. When making a CS, keep in mind that some things will be restricted. If you want to have a specific role within the RP, maybe then it'd make more sense to ask me. All these characters will play a major role within the storyline, as it progresses, but remember that it isn't always about the senseless combat and anger. 3. If you have anything that makes you feel uncomfortable regarding another Roleplayer or myself, instead of having a bitch-about them in the OOC, report the issue to myself, even if it is about me. I'd prefer to settle it to whatever standard I see fit rather than just blow it all away on arguments. The OOC is not a battleground, therefore it doesn't need to be treated like one. 4. Character interactions are brilliant, aren't they? Well why not encourage them? Interactions between characters is highly requested, though not enforced. The development in relationship between every Character will build up, as the final hours of the War will prove them to be useful and/or agonising for each Character. Romance, hatred, friendship and simply-making a drinking buddy...All of these are welcomed with great consent. 5. Be sort of realistic. Yes it's a fantasy genre-Roleplay, but that doesn't mean you get to summon the demon lord Salzar from the Plains of Tumblr...Or something along those lines. Try not to overpower one another, or even NPCs, in your posts, as I'm hoping to have quite a bit of vulnerability for each and every character. Don't just make some sort of Godly being that can practically wipe armies off the surface of the land with their eyelash, or something... 6. If you want to leave the Roleplay, by all means go ahead. Let me know, and I'll respectfully let you be on your merry way. We can decide the fate of your character from here, which'll be one less thing to worry about. If, however, you decide to leave, or just are inactive, for a huge period of time, then we're going to have some small issues. As long as you aren't holding anyone up, we won't do anything to your Character until you return or give us permission. However, if it is holding someone else up, then I grant the person full control over the character to at least finish the situation without harming them too much. Sorry if this seems unfair, but it allows people to keep moving without too much hassle. 7. I'm not looking for too much when it comes to posting. A Paragraph at the very least, which I refer to as 6 Long-Complex sentences as a minimum. You can write longer, by all means, just not any shorter.
From here, I do not see anything else to say. I'd like to thank you for literally spending your precious time reading this filth, but that's an achievement, isn't it? If this grabs your interest, let me know in the OOC. I won't be accepting characters until you've told me this. If your character does not get accepted, do not be offended, as it is just me being super picky. Once again, thanks for reading this post, and I hope I have grabbed your interest. EDIT - Due to Scripting Issues, I'll be posting the CS later in the Character Tab if people see an interest.
