I know what you mean by that, heh. I personally like to make characters take use of intelligence and cleverness over overpowered technology and skills. It makes things far more interesting to read, that's for sure. 

Weak characters or characters with real flaws doing awesome things. That's always fun. When I make a character, that's the way I intend it to be. I'm mostly asking about things to test the waters before I make up my mind.
