Cursed!? In the sleepy mountain town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, the residents are no stranger to stranger things. Legends of bigfoots and ghosts and ghouls abound; an alarming amount of them prove to be true. It's marked on hardly any map besides its own, and the town itself seems content with this. Its denizens are mostly happy and quiet folk, rich in diversity, proud of their work, taking most everything in stride. Not even the occasional evidence of a cryptid can disturb the rhythm of this quiet little hamlet. But even the timelessness of Gravity Falls is not immune to the ever-reaching claws of modernity; Change is on the horizon. A tourism mogul sees promise in the queer happenings that surround the town, hostile takeovers abound, and things drift ever weirder with a series of mysterious disappearances. Now with the economy to support it, organized crime begins to bleed through the cracks of this once peaceful town. Violence is on the rise, and police struggle to keep up with the rapidly climbing rates of violence. Sirens run all night; but what matter is that besides keeping you from getting sleep? That is to say, another thing keeping you from getting sleep. See, you've been cursed. Many people in a town like this claim to have been cursed at some point or another. Most of it's hogwash, but what's happening to you is real. And you know it is, because you see evidence of it every day. Every night. Staring you in the face. The spirit that hangs around you is mostly benign. Which is to say, it is not going out of its way to harm you. In fact, it seems to help you in some respects--retaliating in your stead and preventing you from coming to harm--but it never leaves you alone. And it seems you are not the only one with this problem. You may have seen it on the supermarket, on the internet or stapled to a telephone pole: an advertisement for a group meeting. A group meeting specifically concerned with sufferers of this particular curse. Hosted by some twenty year old kid out of a video store. Who knows? What's the harm? You might even come to learn something about this "curse" of yours... perhaps about a whole lot more.
Cursed!? - A JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Crossover roleplay. Rules are as follows:

Modern characters only.
Humans only.
Maximum of 1 Stand per character.
No godmoding/metagaming/speedposting etc. bullshit.
Stand Creation Guidelines

What is a Stand? Click Here.
Keep your stats reasonable.
Try not to make a copy of an existing stand.
Need ideas? Here's a good place to start.

Name: Avok (Ay-Vock) Meyer [Visual Reference] Gender: Male Age: 20 Years Ethnicity: White [Japanese/Austrian, American] Description: Avok is a product of his upbringing, and the child of a Japanese-American and an Austrian immigrant. He is not smart. In fact, he is actually quite thick, except when he decides to not be. He possesses an astounding memory and deductive skills, but absolutely no work ethic or desire to use them for anything other than remembering what bands went on what tours and what the exact bus fair is. Stand: ⌊ AERODYNAMIC ⌉ Visual Reference: [Pending Completion]

Power: B
Speed: C
Range: E
Precision: C
Staying: B
Learning: A
Description: ⌊ AERODYNAMIC ⌉ is a stand that resembles a muscular man wearing Thomas Bangalter's stage outfit. Its ability, ⌊ WORK IT ⌉ is derived from Avok's subconscious desire to improve himself, and increases the operating power of Avok's actions without protecting what it enhances. IE Avok can use his stand's ability to break down a wall with a single punch, but will destroy his hand an arm in the process; he can strike the flint of a lighter and produce an extremely strong electrical charge, but the lighter will most likely explode; he can pitch a baseball that can put a dent in a steel door, but the ball will come apart on impact. Because of Avok's lack of understanding of his stand and how it works, it can only affect himself and not his stand.
Questions, comments? Post below.
