Part of her wanted to attack him again, but Elise drowned it out. All of this was so wrong, and she couldn't even pry a decent reason from him. Valence was starting to seem unstable to her, for lack of a better word. Unhinged. Could she blame him, after what he'd witnessed and done? No, but it hardly helped her sympathize. Perhaps in time this would be a dark dream to her, a time that would fade, while she moved on to better things. Perhaps this... connection, or whatever it was she had, with Valence, would fade, with distance or time. Elise followed him at a safe distance behind, reaching a hand up to rub at the amulet around her neck. It was slowly coming back to life, warming again now that her life energy had returned. The first thing it did was begin to shield her from the cold again, which Elise was immensely grateful for. "What are you going to do, after you've taken me back?" she asked. She didn't know what she was going to do yet, but maybe that was best decided one moment at a time. Right now, her only choice was to follow Valence.
