[@Buddha] I figured as much. The Land of Iron never really had any reason to get involved in too much of the shinobi business unless it was big anyway.

I kinda figured that he'd end up being an irresponsible clan heir type who left to live in Kumo after getting tired of all of the fighting and nonsense about settling down. He probably settled in Kumo as a ramen shop owner, but still keeps himself sharp just in case shit goes south (which it probably will). I could work with the whole official shinobi deal, though.
