As she grew up, she has grown to really hate it. It signifies that, despite almost being of adult/legal age, she is still seen as a child amongst her siblings. Especially considering she is the fourth oldest/third youngest, she hates the fact that she is called Little J. It even stings more that people like to use it as an insult or derogatory name for her. If you value your life, don't call her it in front of her. J - A more acceptable of the aforementioned "Little J". Usually her friends and peers call her this; though, given that Jade's first name is relatively short, there has hardly been any need for anyone to call her anything other than "Jade". Still, J represents a form of maturity. Or at least, in Jade's opinion, that is.
Gender:
Female
Age:
17
Height:
5'8
Weight:
123.5lbs/55kg
Home District:
Prince Ed-Field — Lower South Royer Town(where her family lives)

Appearance
Hair Color:
Blonde
Eye Color:
Blueish-green.
Ethnicity:
German(65%), French(25%), Scottish(10%)
Physical Appearance:
Even since she was a little girl, Jade has always been told that she was going to grow up to be a very attractive woman. Be it her family trying to raise her self-confidence or family friends who were playing too close to the creep level, there is no denying that Jade Riley Taylor didn‘t disappoint. With a frame of average proportions, Jade definitely lived up to the hyped that everyone was setting up for her. Long, flowing blonde hair that could be compared to sunflower gold and eyes that are reminiscent of the love child of sapphire and emerald, there is definitely quite the first impression that comes with Jade. Her ass and tits are also admirable. On the front end, she‘s as perky as they come and the same around the block, albeit a bit more plump. She‘s often complimented on her assets. Probably another reason why Jade seems to be popular among her peers. Jade‘s body seems to have a nice, snug home right between lean and skinny. She doesn‘t suffer from any eating disorders, so that‘s not why she seems to be slightly under the average weight. Her metabolism simply is at the best it‘s going to be; well, that and she works out as much as she can. Honestly, Jade takes real good care of her body. She knows that she wants to be around for a long time, so she doesn‘t fuck around with fatty foods too often. She hardly takes in harmful substances. Okay, that last one is a lie. She indulges in those kind of drugs that parents tell their kids to stay away from. She can‘t help it, really; she‘s addicted. Still, she doesn‘t drink soda, so that‘s a plus, right? No high fructose corn syrup for her. Once in a while will she indulge in a burger, maybe fries and a shake. Outside that, she likes to treat her body as if it were a holy shrine of her. On an added note, Jade wears copious amounts of black eyeshadow; sometimes too much for her own good. She was told that by some people who decided to butt into her decisions. They thought she cared. News flash! Jade doesn‘t give two shits about your opinion. She also has quite the amount of piercings. Obvious ones are ears, eyebrows, and nose. Some less obvious are hidden by her clothing; such places are best not to be mentioned publicly.
Attire
You probably think that because Jade Taylor is a perky blonde, she wears dresses and bright colors, right? Well, that‘s a big can of wrong. She‘s as opposite to that as anyone can get. Clad in black attire mostly, Jade prides herself in the fact that she dresses really grungy and really biker-ish. Though for the most part, her attire could be generally based around black and its lighter-but-still-dark grey colors, she actually owns a few white shirts and pants. However, nothing about them will be girly at all. There‘s always some type of skull pattern on it somewhere. If there isn‘t, then Jade wears T-shirts of her favorite bands. Sometimes you‘ll see her in a Guns ‘N‘ Roses shirt or maybe Twisted Sister. Perhaps you might catch her in some Nirvana apparel. Whatever the case, Jade doesn‘t like bright colors. She despises them. However, that isn‘t to say that she doesn‘t own some dresses. In fact, Jade Taylor owns a few dresses. They are pretty skin tight and usually in some kind of animal print. It could be tiger, leopard, or even zebra on occasion. Still, they are remaining faithful to her general fashion sense. When it comes to shoes, usually high heels, uggs, or something of the like. Safe to say that Jade sticks to a unique fashion style that would easily be able to pinpoint her in a crowd with.

Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
Generally, there are a lot of things to look out for when it comes to Jade Riley Taylor; her ability to speak her mind without any worry of feeling bad about what she says to anybody, her knack to getting herself into more trouble than should be realistically available, her often-promiscuous tendencies that bring her back into her trouble-making habits one way or another. On the surface, it‘s undoubtedly obvious that Jade Taylor is a troubled girl - a problem, if you will. She‘s blunt almost to the point where it tends to land her in more bad situations than good. Of course, that‘s just on the surface. Yeah, you could say that Jade has a problem with the rules. She has a problem with people telling her what to do, people telling her how to act, how to think, how to dress, how to do the complete opposite of what she does, but there is a reason for that. There‘s a reason for the ways that Jade acts. As with everything, there‘s a backstory, but not everyone wants to hear it, right? No one wants to hear how fucked up Jade‘s life was, especially with how time and time again she constantly rejects any form of help that has possibly came her way. Well, don‘t blame her. Jade‘s people skills aren‘t exactly what one would call good. Hell, when it comes to letting people in, Jade isn‘t even decent or “half bad“. She would rather let her body take over the conversation. Many therapists have been trying to figure that part of her brain for a while now, and they all concluded that it‘s a defense mechanism. Whenever it seems that someone is getting close to weakening the sturdy walls that Jade puts up around her surface personality and what actually lies beneath it, she either fends them off with such blunt talk that those trying to get close to her either get warded away or simply give up on her altogether. Additionally, if they don‘t, she will seduce them. Of course, that‘s only if it works. Let‘s talk about what lies beneath Jade‘s abrasively-verbal surface. Underneath that is what one could expect from a girl her age who puts on that kind of front. She‘s hurting inside. Yeah, it‘s sounding like a really bad teen drama, huh? Well, that‘s not on purpose, but it‘s accurate to a T. Jade has felt an immense pain like no other. She harbors a dark secret about her childhood. It‘s something that happened to her that she refuses to talk about. Very few people know, and just as much understand. The only ones that seem to know about this secret is her older brother, Colin. Only he knows about it. This secret is well-guarded. Jade constantly tries to avoid this topic as much as she could. When she suspects anyone is even on a path that will point them in the general direction of finding it out, she will automatically redirect them with either purposely sexually seducing them or just revert to her offending rhetoric. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn‘t. In certain situations, it‘s been noted by Jade‘s family that she has certain “tells“. If she‘s ever confronted about something that‘s uncomfortable for her, Jade has a tendency to laugh uncontrollably, usually spaced out a half of a second between each laugh. This is one she‘s aware of. She always promises herself that she will work to hide it better, but it‘s not really something that‘s easily fixed. Another quirk that she seems to have is verbally announcing her annoyance or irritation at someone. Usually it‘s done by vocally saying “ugh“, often followed by an obvious eye roll. Again, this is another one she‘s aware of. However, unlike the laugh, she doesn‘t mind it. Jade‘s someone who suffers from Restless Leg Syndrome, which is a disorder in the nervous system that demands the legs keep moving/shaking if the person those legs belong to is stationary, either by them sitting down or whatever. It‘s usually not a problem since it‘s something that Jade has grown used to and often sees it as something that is always there. She won‘t even know her legs are shaking until a draft of wind hits it or something of the like. In this world of “Metahumans“ and the like, Jade hasn‘t really had any reason to idolize any that have been known to “save the world“. To be quite frankly, Jade couldn‘t give two shits about whether people decided to try to save the day using whatever godforsaken power that they have acquired through mysterious means or if there‘s someone trying to plot the doom of the world. To her, it‘s never been something that she would idolize or hate. So, perhaps that would put her on the neutral standpoint of things since she obviously lacks an interest of what goes down on the hero/villain fronts. Even if she somehow acquired one of those meta powers, Jade really doesn‘t have any intention of being heroic unless her family somehow found themselves in the crosshairs of any threat. That would be her only exception to that. Aside that, fuck ‘em!
Hobbies/Interests:
Jade’s pretty usual when it comes to her hobbies and interests. For one, listening to music is definitely on top of the list. To her, music seems to make the entire world around her fade away and only the tune she’s listening to matters. With as many problems Baybridge has going on right now, Jade finds absolute comfort that, for 3-7 minutes, nothing really matters aside what’s on her Ipod Touch and what song is currently playing. Music aside, Jade is somewhat of a free spirit. The confines that society places on teens has no effect on her. Because of that, Jade finds the notion of smoking and drinking highly appealing. She probably does it way too often - well, at least smoking because that’s something that she can get away with. Drinking large quantities of liquor isn’t exactly something that Jade can hide from people. Sure she can hold her liquor, but there’s a limit to just how much she can drink before she starts to act differently than she always does. Other, less-dominant hobbies and interests that Jade has is hanging out with people that don’t annoy the crap out of her, miscellaneous adventurous activities, and a lot of other stuff that she does to kill the time. There is one specific hobby of hers that might be considered very un-Jadelike mainly because hardly anyone that knows her — or the reputation that follows her — to be interested in yoga. Truly, no one would expect Jade Taylor the Troublemaker to actually find an interest in yoga, but that’s Jade for you. There’s just something about the way that it makes her feel. Similarly to music, it separates her from the outside world. With such a strong, assertive personality that Jade has(and harboring a dark secret about her past), yoga seems to be the one thing that always calmed her nerves; and especially with her superpower. Even that aside, she quite enjoys it, so that’s all that matters, right?
Skills/Talents:
Jade prides herself in how good she is at sex. There's nothing wrong with knowing your strengths, is there? No, she doesn't think so. Besides, momma always said aim to be good at something. It just so happens that Jade is good at giving sexual favors. Now, be that as it may, she does have other talents and skills other than being good at sex. People tell her that she's quite skilled at giving advice because of her tendency to be blunt and never sugarcoating anything she says. If you want the cold-hard truth, then come to Jade. If you want some sugar-coated bullshit, then go somewhere else. Another thing that Jade seems to be skilled at is playing guitar. It's also a hobby of hers. She might not be no Carlos Santana, but she's not bad.
Goals/Motivation
Aside from trying to not get killed from smoking, certain significant others, and other potential threats that may come her way? Her family. Real talk, Jade‘s only main motivation for doing anything even remotely “good“ is making sure her family will be happy and safe. Yeah, a few of them might have powers, but that doesn‘t mean they‘ll always be safe; and maybe Jade won‘t be able to do much to save them, but in her mind, being at the Academy will at least give her control over her power and how to use it without hurting others. If she can do that, then at the very least, Jade will be able to go back home for good, and actually be of some use to them. Anyone else can go fuck themselves. Her fam is the only reason she doesn‘t ditch the hell out of the Academy and hitch a ride somewhere back to Baybridge.
History/Bio:
There’s something that Jade always found funny, even to this very day. Her eldest siblings — Chandler, Emma, and Colin — could all be considered Canadians since they were all born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, but Jade, Corvin, and Ellie were all born in Baybridge. It’s one of those things that are often joked about around the table — well, when Jade’s not at that god-forsaken academy(more on that later). Bottom line, it’s something within the Taylor family that’s often talked about and not always in a positive light. Jade, specifically, is one that wished she was Canadian. Beggars can’t be choosers, but Jade wished they could be. Anyways, more onto Jade. Sometime during her late-childhood, probably when she just entered the double digit age, Jade started to exhibit some odd symptoms. No one in her family knew exactly what they were, not her father, mother, or any of her siblings. These symptoms weren’t anything serious — well, not at first. They were normal head cold symptoms: elevated body heat, sneezing, coughing, runny nose, and easily fatigued. With it only being the basic for a bad head cold, Cameron and Savannah made the decision to just keep her home from her school at the time. It was only a couple of days - what could go wrong? Well, a lot of things. Originally thought to be just a head cold, there wasn‘t much thought put into it when Jade‘s body temperature was abnormally high. Her family didn‘t think much about it when she was at 100+ degrees(Fahrenheit) day and night for a couple of weeks. It wasn’t until she exhibited no other symptoms of a head cold - no sneezing, coughing, weakened, physical body fatigue - nothing of the sort outside outlandishly-high body temperature. No matter what was thought of to be done, there was no explaining it. The normal doctors didn‘t know what was wrong. It wasn‘t until it was brought to the attention to DOVE, and it was discovered that she had a special power. What wasn‘t predicted that Jade‘s was a particular kind of power - one that wasn‘t necessarily of the common variety. Apparently, the reason her body was so hot was actually because of a kind of metamorphosis, but not what was to be expected. Instead of it being body heat, it seemed that Jade‘s body, at some point, started taking in the subtle energies from the stars. Quite fascinating, really. To think that a kid, at the time, who was barely a teenager, suddenly developed the ability to actually absorb the stellar pulses that were outputted from the stars in the cosmos. Such minimal energy waves that are sent out naturally, which would be nigh-invisible to the normal human, somehow was gravitated to Jade, and became contained into her body. Quite remarkable when you think about it. Upon further study, however, it didn’t just get absorbed into her body, but it also changed it in such a way that her body became a living, breathing, completely-operational body that has the energy from the stars had her disposal. Turns out, Jade was indeed a Metahuman. According to the results of the test, she had an ability that was quite uncommon. The specifics weren’t given to Cam or Savannah, but they were “rest assured that their daughter was in safe hands.” Not that they doubted the government agencies, but when they were told that Jade had to been taken to an academy where she would receive help, they were skeptical. Sadly for them, they would have more pressing concerns to worry about. As it turned out, her siblings were metahumans too - well, the older ones. They were late bloomers, but not as severe as Jade was. She was a special case it seemed. But back to her siblings. Apparently the Metahuman..whatever you call it, is strong in her siblings too. Not as serious, obviously, but they all have their own powers. Go Taylor family, right? Anyways, Jade was sent to an Academy from the age of twelve or so and is still going to the same one to this day. She goes home for holidays and all that, but usually spends her non-holiday/break days at Academy 61 where she may or may not want to break out of at some given point or time…

Relationships
Family:

The Taylor Family | Swedish, Scottish, French, and German

For both the Quinn - and Taylor - side of Jade’s family, there’s a lot of their history that she doesn’t necessarily know. Most of what she does know has been told to her by both her Grandfather, Chester Barren Taylor, and his wife, Eleanor Gwyneth (nee. Quinn) Taylor. Of what she has been told by them was that both of them migrated with their respective families from France and Germany sometime in-between the First and Second World Wars. There was a lot that happened in-between those times, but whatever events that made them migrate, they both ended up in Vancouver, British Columbia. Somehow, only by a chance encounter, they met. It was as if they had a love-at-first-sight kind of encounter. The details are vague, but Jade does know that they began seeing each other, and that’s when the joined families of the Quinns and the Taylors began. The children came as followed: Jade’s father, Cameron John Taylor. He was born in 1967. Then after him came Jade’s Uncle Charlie. He was born just a little less than a decade later, but somehow, at some point, both are ten years apart in number only. Charlie Wayne Taylor was his name. The year of his birth was 1977. The youngest of the three Taylor Children came no more than four years later in the year of 1981 when Jade’s favorite aunt, Erin Aylssa Taylor(formally, now Tomers) was born. All three all born with blonde hair; though Jade’s father was more of a brownish blonde than actual blonde like her uncle and aunt. When it came time for all three of them to wed and have children of their own, they did. Jade’s father got with Savannah Ashley Sampson - a Therapist. Well, his therapist, and about six years his junior. Still, some odd relationship formed, and not long after meeting did they have their first kid, Chandler Edward Taylor. He was born on the very first day of the very first hour of 1990. What a way to break in the new year, huh? Anyways, that was the first child, so of course there’s some favoritism going on there. Similarly to Charlie and Erin, next came Emma Nicole Sampson. She was born just three days shy of July of the forth year into the 1990s. Yes that’s right, Emma was born in 1994. Following Emma was Colin Kenneth Taylor. He was born just three years later. His birthday was closer to Thanksgiving - about three days away from the 25th of November in the seventh year of the 1990s decade. So, you could say that Colin has his birthday snugly on 11/22/97. Following Colin was good ole’ Jade. Two years after Colin, Jade came into the picture around March twenty-fifth in the last year of the 1990s decade, so that makes her an Aries; and quite fitting for her. And the final batch of Sampson-Taylor Children are twins who were born on the first day of the Gemini sign(kind of fitting right?). One boy and one girl. They are fraternal twins. Their names — Corvin Quinn “Corey” Taylor and Eleanor Jasmine Sampson — and they are nearly inseparable. Twins bond closer than most siblings, and that much is true with them. Never apart and always completing each others sentences, Not long after Colin was born, Cameron and Savannah knew that they couldn’t stay in Vancouver for long. They knew that, with another kids along the way and more to come, that they had to find a suitable place. Luckily, Cameron got a job that would pay well. Due to his time in the army, he was added as a consultant for a Government Agency that dealt with Cybersecurity. Gotta love it when your talents get recognized, right? Well, it’s based out of Seattle, so he had to commute, but better than being poor, that’s for sure. So, for the past five years, Jade’s family had been living snug in Prince Ed-Field—Lower South Royer Town; and not long after the third year, Jade exhibited powers, and that’s when she was “enrolled” into one of the lovely Academies nearby(not her choice). So yeah, that’s Jade’s family. Hope ya had fun~

Grandparents
Chester Barren Taylor | Grandfather | 83| Face Claim: Clint Eastwood | Normal Human Eleanor Gwyneth (nee. Even though they only release in small doses, just about every dose of the energy from stars around - including the sun - has found its way into Jade’s body, stored, mixing with her own body, and molding into her being so that she may have it just in case. Convenient, yes, but also true. It seems that Jade’s body was made to house such energies. The first thing that this energy had done for Jade was enhanced her normal body condition. Where it seemed that she lacked strength or speed or overall functions like stamina and the like, the stellar energy that she absorbed from various, far-off, and nearby stars, increased such physicalities of the human body - more importantly, her human body. She found that her reaction time seems to be slightly above that of normal humans, and like three percent above Metahumans. Her ability to output strength is the same, too. Just about every basic aspect of a physical condition — strength, speed, stamina, endurance, durability, reflexes — have been upped to points past the peak human condition. Stellar Aura Furthering her training, Jade’s ability has gone past the basic absorption. Now, she is able to outwardly project a physical manifestation of the stellar energy she absorbs. A dark red aura - a color akin to lava - flows out from the center of her body, and surrounds her. It’s like a constantly-flowing, cycle of stellar energy that starts at her feet, continues up her legs, then to her arms, torso, head, and has a area of effect of just about one foot. It’s not large, but with Jade’s arm and leg reach, it allows an additional 1-2 feet sometimes. This aura makes no sound, but it enables her to have some neat side-effects. Right off the bat, it’s been noted that Jade is able to take flight. Of course, she doesn’t go very far nor does she even go very fast; however, the fact remains that she can fly. Another trick is that she can generate - and shoot out - bursts of stellar energy from her hands. These bursts are of a slightly lighter shade than the lava-colored aura that surrounds her. These bursts appear to have a plasmic origin, but when they make contact, one could say that they have more of a pure energy substance with slight hints of the exploding nature of plasma or fire. The force of the blast, when shot at non-living object(such as rocks and the like), has the destruction potential to obliterate small-sized boulder, leaving minimal traces of its existence, and medium-sized ones, but leaving small chunks of it behind. When used against humans and other living beings, the possibility, if hit at point-blank range, can leave tertiary burns, cause moderate fractures on the bones, and concussive force. When shot off from a distance more than seven feet, if hit, slight burns, even less fractures to the bones are possible.
Limits:
The core aspect of Jade‘s power requires her to be able to absorb stellar energy pulses that are emitted from the stars in the solar system. For her to do get that energy, there comes a certain standard of concentration. Not hard, obviously, but for Jade to remain focused for long periods of time, it would require her to also remain calm and not get frustrated as she is very impatient at times. When you include that with how Jade isn‘t always guaranteed to get large doses of stellar energy in one “standstill“(that‘s what she calls the 4-5 minutes she has to remain stationary to absorb the stellar energy), it puts a real damper on not only her mood, but the effectiveness in both the enhanced condition that she gets from having that energy within her and the aura that it allows her to manifest. Even if Jade does get as much stellar energy as she wishes to get, it doesn‘t always stay locked inside her body. The thing with that is that she simply borrows it for short bursts at a time. The highly-condensed energy that she absorbs, if locked dormant in her body for too long, will have completely reverse effects on her. For one, instead of having an enhanced condition, she will have a physical condition that is often called “fatigued“. She won‘t be able to output strength that even the average human could. Not only that, but if she tries to manifest the aura after the twenty minute time limit that is placed on how long she can keep single pulses of stellar energy after absorbing it in her body, the aura not only uses the stellar energy, but it mixes in her own life energy. Drastic, probably, but it‘s also the cold, hard truth. She will deplete her own life energy if she tries to use the Stellar Aura after the twenty minute time limit. Dangerous game these cosmic powers.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
As noted about her twenty minute cap on how long she can hold in the “borrowed“ stellar energy, what wasn‘t noted was that after the first fifteen minutes, even though she will have five minutes remaining, Jade will start to feel fatiguqe. One could say this is a side-effect of her lack of training or just the fact that even Jade can‘t handle that much stress on her organs. It‘s a wonderful ability to be able to absorb foreign, non-earth energies, but it also comes with a price. When she does start to feel this fatigue, everything else is affected too. Her enhanced condition starts to deplete five percent per half of a minute that passes by in four of the five minutes. In that last minute, each five seconds, three percent of the remaining fifty percent remaining of her enhanced condition(at the time that is) drains. By the end of that last minute, Jade will no longer have her enhanced condition due to the fact that all remnants of the stellar energy will be out of her body; however, the matter of the aura is another story, and can increase the aforementioned drawbacks by at least fifty percent, maybe even make it start five minutes early. The thing about Jade’s Stellar Aura is that she has yet to grasp the concept of willing it off when she needs to. Because of this, she can’t conserve that energy, thus exerting more than she needs to. The thing is that it remains constantly active when she uses it. So, while it’s useful in fights, when the fight is over, Jade doesn’t know how to turn it off, which is why it could trigger a premature draining of the positive effects the stellar energy gives her. Speaking of the stellar energy, the blasts also shrink in not only size, but also overall damage potential. After like three minutes of using the aura, the size of the blasts will shrink to the size of a basketball, after eight minutes, they are at the size of a football, and by the standard fifteen minute mark, they are the size of golf balls. Each decrease of size comes with a fifteen percent loss of maximum destructive power. So, by the end of it, the maximum damage is only at sixty-five percent, even that decreases an additional ten percent per minute leaving it only at five percent of maximum destructive potential in the last minute. Now with all of this being said, this doesn’t even constitute of what happens to Jade past the twenty minute mark and when the stellar energy leaves her body. The cold hard truth is that she is left weak and weary. Her body is so fatigued that she won’t be able to move much for an hour. Though rest will help her recuperate , Jade found out the hard way that if she tried to absorb more stellar energy, it would not only be incredibly difficult for her, but it will actually burn her insides. Jade doesn’t even know why it does, but apparently that part inside her that absorbs the stellar energy in the first place even needs time to adjust to the strain that its “host” was put through. As recorded by the officials at the Academy, Jade goes through a six-hour stasis before she can regularly absorb the stellar energy. In addition to physical fatigue and using her own life force, whether accidental or nah, there seems to be another strand of side-effects - negative side-effects - that come with using her aura. Though it hasn't always happened, there have been moments where Jade found her vision compromised when using the full extents of her aura. It usually happened when she went at it for more than five minutes. That isn't to say that she would need to stop using it completely, but the fact that after five minutes of continuous use could at least make her vision blurry, that should at least something about how much she should hold back at times. Other times when Jade had forced herself to absorb the stellar energy out of pure impatience, there have been times where Jade's skin got burned because of that. The same could be said when she would use that forced energy for her aura: it would cause burns on her skin. Though obviously not major, they would have a decent effect on the way she went about things.
Other:
N/A
