Alright [@Witch Cat]

Aight first off your revised 3 cast spell. For the most part I like it, but I think a 50% dmg boost is a little much, so I'm going to say a change to 25% attack boost would be better. Savy? For the most part all your equipment is good, I think a bit of leeway here is fine and you can pull out new stuff within reason. Return Threefold: This is a weeeee bit too strong for my liking. A 3 energy spell that takes off at least 65% dmg from even strong attacks and five of them no less, is a bit much. 1, 50% reduction of a Strong Attack would be more what I'm thinking of along with only two blocks for a Weak Attack tops. Additionally I would prefer that an expiration time be put on it as well, three turns seems fair to me, since it's unlikely it would stay out that long in the first place. Sorry to be so harsh on this but it's REALLY strong in its current state. Meditate: I'm add the note the vulnerable is going to increase your damage taken by 50% and chanting is going to prevent you from using any energy while chanting. Beast Within: 50% boost once again seems a little large. I'ma add the stipulation that you can't cast spells in this state as well., thematically and balance-wise. Overflow: 15 is a lot. I believe a more reasonable limit is going to be 8, though your overflow reduction is fine. That should do er, the things you've left to GM discretion I'm fine with doing or leaving to Kaben to deal with. As for points needed, leeme take a look. First off energy can only be increased with traits, I don't see any that do that. HP is a 1:5 ratio, spend 1 point, gain 5 HP. Les see. The number in parentheses are your totals. 4 Points to begin with. -2(+2) for attack boost -2(0) for hp -8(-8) for traits -1(-9) for knife (Fairly Weak effect) -1(-10 for chalk (A strong 1, close to 2) -1(-11) for herbs (Fairly utility, weak effects) -2(-13) for book (Has some kick to it, status cure alone is like at least half a trait, so we'll give it to ya for 2) Current Total: -13 Extra points, ugh these are up to my discretion aren't they? Overflow: +4(-9), its a fairly big drawback but it also has benefits and isn't terrible hard to control. Think I'm being overly generous. Traumatophobia: +6(-3), as long as you play this well I'm willing to give you this many points for it. and I like your character Oops: Oy, +2(-2), both good and bad effects, though I'll probally dish you more pain then pleasure. Silence: +1(0), You're somewhat unlikely to encounter much of this[s][sub][sub]Co-GM note: Add silence to every encounter[/sub][/sub][/s] Current Total: 0 Eh Gawds I'm generous aren't I? Take off the extra energy and make the changes and you're good to go, otherwise I'll keep working with you on your desired abilities. Note that some of these are malleable to how strongly or weakly you play them, if you go overboard with your spellbook it'll have to cost more, if your phobia never causes any trouble, it'll give you less. Always remember you can spend points to increase the effects of traits and (in this case) equipment you already have.

You are an amazing help! Thanks for helping out someone like me~ I tried to weaken my current traits, hopefully this helps with the whole balancing thing. All except Meditation, I had no idea what you were trying to say so I left it untouched for now. Further more, no need to worry about me abusing any powers or arsenal. I want my character to be, well, balanced. I'll always try to fairly incorporate all the skills Coal has into a fight and not rely on one tactic. And also try to make his fears play a part( I don't really know what else I could add to his fears that relates to his character but I'll be thinking). I'm in the process of writing down the different elemental powers, so that'll be added on soon. Here's hoping the GM is as generous as you. P.S.- About the whole "Silence" thing, just wanted to add, restricting even one of those spell-casting methods can limit what Coal can use. You can't use substitutes in magic. So being Frozen, Silenced, Restricted, etc. can really disadvantage him.
