[i]My candle's burning low as I write this,  what might be my last letter home.  Tonight I embark on an expedition,  into an exceedingly long off-topic thread.  I don't know what I expect to find there,  but the sheer size of it draws me.  Like a moth to a flame,  or will it be the gold I've always hoped for?
