I was still on the fence after reading that because my instinct says she's past the angry teenage years, she's an accomplished mage in restoration and an alchemist. Certainly she has those deep seeded hurts but her time in the temple of the Divines comforted her and taught her to make as much peace with her guilt. It taught her temperance and mercy, and a sense of justice. To protect and heal, especially those that could not do so for themselves. Which is why she risks her freedom to help the battered woman.
