Gallus observed the officer fall to the ground with a wound that would soon kill her and then backpedalled behind his own lines to regain awareness of the situation. The enemy did not break, unfortunately. More fighting would be required for this objective. Gallus wiped his knife on the leather if his coat if plates, sheathed it, and took out his hammer while his allies continued to contest. He could retrieve his spear later.

"Beat them back! Take the parapet!" Gallus shouted in the gatehouse, raising his hammer high to point. The soldiers' efforts were split into fighting up the stairs on the gatehouse to capture those on the roof and forcing back ground so other enemies had to retreat to the wall. The defenders were fighting skillfully and bravely with a low rate of casualties on either side, but they were outmatched and out-equipped by Gallus group.

It was a gruelling fight to finally capture the gatehouse properly, upon which time Gallus sent a runner to Ri'vashi to inform her. As per the plan, he was to sweep the rest of the walls between themselves and the ladder teams before reuniting with Ri'vashi's force in the courtyard. With the snarls and struggles of what might have been enemy Senche-raht clashing with their own, Gallus hoped that the momentum would continue without too much trouble.

Meesei's flashing spells were joined by the comparatively harder to see arrows launched from Fendros' bow as soon as any target made itself apparent. He was in a state of focus in all the chaos. Painful screams and the clash of steel picked into his ears, but he felt secure in the knowledge that the tide was still in their favour. The imposing stronghold was proving to be surprisingly less of a challenge than before.

As soon as Janius and Kaleeth ascended, they lead the way with Lorag to start cutting their way to the walkway to the keep. Janius' role was primarily defensive, shielding and raising wards while the physically strongest of their pack pushed out in front.
