I like him. Optimism in a character is very refreshing for an apocalypse. Just one thing though, zombies in the way we know them (TV shows, movies, books) don't actually exist in The Walking Dead universe, which is why everyone's all "what the shit"  when that stuff actually happens. Basically the concept was never thought of so they don't know obvious shit like them even being dead at first, they think they're just sick. Most don't know that brain injuries kill them either until they find out personally or someone tells them. I'm not sure whether the Haitian real zombie stuff is known, and I don't know much about that myself so I couldn't decide. 

Overall though, he's cool. I'm good with him being in the cast. Just wait to see if Double has anything to add, if not then you're good to put him with the other CS's.

Oh, also Pittsburgh isn't a massive distance away from Boston (relative to the size of the U.S), so that move is realistic I think.
