Experience and history. They've shown me that people who can't be bothered to retain quality for even their CS usually aren't very fun to roleplay with for several reasons, coming off as lazy and/or uncaring for others' enjoyment.

I'd rather come off as a tight wad in the early days and make sure the ones that stay are guaranteed a decent odd of having fun than risk having a bad egg on board who ruins it for everybody. :newlol
