Benji was more than a bit surprised to hear the old woman brag about not only being completely human, but the wife to one scientist, and mother to another. The surprise of this made him lose most of his focus towards the rest of the battle. He had mistaken her for a supernatural and she spoke as if she was on their side which made him wonder what her game was. Were these buses leading them to safety, or into the hands, and labs of their enemies? This Supernatural Underground had sounded too good to be true and kindness was the last thing he expected from humans. The man from a few moments ago walked passed him and shot him a smile, a primal and animalistic smile. Benji nodded in respect to man as well as to the primal force he sensed in this stranger. These buses were quickly filling with other supernaturals and if this was a ruse there was no way to get this many terrified and confused people out of this situation anyway. There was a small chance that these buses really were headed somewhere safe and it was chance he was going to have to take. The battle around him was only getting crazier, the winged woman spouting off about her father, gunshots and beams of energy being shot off and big guy with a lot of power trying to reason with the enemy. More soldiers were bound to show up any minute and Benji wasn’t planning to stick around for that. He boarded one of the buses and hoped they weren’t being driven into some horrible trap, or if this was a trap that he’d get the chance to kill a few of the scientists himself. The more he thought about it he figured getting the chance to kill scientists with his own teeth and claws might even make getting captured and murdered worth it.
