[@Sigil][@Lady Amalthea] I was leaning more towards normal bird I guess. Or more like Maleficent's Raven "Diablo" 

The only use I saw him for would be to help her scout, maybe she could understand his caws the way one would understand their cats meows. Or if an attacker would get too close, it might start to peck wildly at it. 

The Raven was chosen more as/like a spiritual totem, but the connection she has with him is that of a loyal pet and its owner. If that makes sense. That was the theory behind him anyway :) I can totally change it if need be
