[@Liliya] The blasts whizzed around and past the flashlight. Nothing seemed to happen. Perhaps if the alien hadn't have kept the aim so tight, she might have hit Donny. But then, Donny had improvised to avoid being hurt in the first place. http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/forums.ws?237,238,522,65666179 The ratcheting noise had been his club extending. Given that the average golf club measures 43 inches, in addition to the length of Donny's arm, Noxx would need a really, really shitty aim to hit him. The roll had just been him rotating the golf club. He had set up a shadow puppet for the alien to focus on, only getting close to the flashlight when he felt like shooting, before quickly backing off again, footsteps muffled by the action. He had been able to withdraw the grenades by flicking on the safety of his gun and allowing it to spin around to the back of his hand by the trigger guard, thus freeing up his phalanges. As Noxx jumped and began firing, Donny would loose a shot from his real position, on Noxx's right and far from the light, under which he had fired not a second previous. He was aiming to blast apart both her gun and hand with a single round to render her harmless, just in case she pulled off a lucky shot. The kill radius of his grenades? Fifteen feet. He was in within the range to be potentially wounded, but that's what cover was for. Slot machines are lined up in rows, without much spacing in between. He was deeper into the casino than Noxx, where there were naturally more machines to hide behind. Unlike his bullets, the frag would not be able to carry that far through cover and still hurt him. He'd have been firing from over a machine all right, but not the one Noxx was aiming at. The scenario certainly had been weighted heavily in Donny's favor. The single lamp that was near him, the darkness, the positioning and accessible cover... Had they met in a more traditional environment, Donny wouldn't have such success in concealing himself from the death ray. Still, Donny was a cheating man in a cheating world. One of her blasts would sever the club and wire in two, the light dropping. She'd probably think him dead. Should all of this come to pass, Donny would rise from his cover and saddle up to his fallen light, disengaging it from the club so that he'd be able to see where he was going when he paced over to check out the alien. Hopefully she'd have enough life left in her to have a brief interaction with Mr. Booth.
