If they did they would find out I was under age by a couple months yet. No worries, I guess they figure if you can put your life on the line every day you can drink in your own home. Besides, I only drank soda. We really need to catch up. Did you notice the statue of my mom outside?"[/color]

Cal blinked, his brain working through the information being tossed at him and that helped it 'reboot'. His brain zeroed in mostly on the tail end of the information, but at least he was able to process something. [color=orange]"oh...somehow I managed to miss the statue. Man I missed so much."[/color] he rubbed his neck again, feeling a tad awkward still.

Shiver pulled him to the lounge chairs and sat down so they could talk. [color=fff200]"My Mom was fully absent and the Angel was in complete control and she was going radioactive so Tia and I had to put her down. Earlier that day we had some crazy stuff going on thanks to The Enhantress and I overexerted my powers so of course they went down. "[/color]

[color=fff200]"So here I'm powerless when the Angel flipped out! Tia needed help so I did the only thing I could. I talked to Glitch and then I electrocuted myself to jumpstart my powers. Only thing is, it changed 2 of my powers from Ice to electricity and superstrength to Impenetrable skin.  I'd love to see me in a hospital. They can't take blood from me." [/color]She stopped and stretched a little. "

[color=fff200]"We finally doubleteamed her and I distracted her long enough for Tia to kill her and then afterwards she had to blow her molecules apart to keep the angel from regenerating and...it's just been a rough summer."[/color] Shiver leaned against him and teased him. [color=fff200]"Oh yeah I decided that if you came back I wasn't going to hide my feelings for you anymore. I hope you are okay with that. "[/color]

Cal let himself get pulled to the lounge chairs and proceeded to focus intently on what all shivers told him. It was a lot to take in. He actually felt awful that he left and saw his family while she had to stay and go through that. [color=orange]"I am so sorry that happened...and I am so sorry I was not there.[/color] his voice was somber and his jaw set. He snorted at the rough summer comment. [color=orange]"understatement, but it most definitly sounds rough.[/color] He felt her lean on him and instinctively his arms loosely wrapped around her.

then she dropped a bomb on him. He blinked...and blinked again. [i][color=orange]she has feelings...for me...has had...feelings...[/color][/i] He swallowed and looked at her. [color=orange]"F-feelings? For me?"[/color] he heard the awkwardness and mentally face palmed, but he couldn't help it.[color=orange]"o-of course i'm okay with that. Shiver smiled at him.[color=fff200] "It's just been crazy and you know me. I'm a little crazy already but in a fun way not the homicidal maniac way."[/color]

[color=fff200]"Hey Pixie, this is my guy Cal this is Pixie she is knew since you left."

Later after everyone had gone Shiver turned the music off. Shiver and Cal stayed up talking until they fell asleep holding hands.
