Lily Meadows and Brent Ignia
[New Amber Town = Maple Pokemon Lab] The group walked into the now almost empty lobby of the lab. Near the back was a young man packing a large backpack. "Yes, yes, one moment please. Oh this time of year, new trainers coming left and right..." He said, his attention completely on the task ahead of him. Brent's father shrugged. "Too busy to say a proper hello these days, Edward?" The man stopped and turned, a smile coming across his face. "Ah, Leon, it's about time you showed up! And... no way, is that Brent?" Brent stepped forward and waved. "It's been a long time, I think. I'm finally ready to start my journey today!" The Professor's smile widened. "Wonderful! It's great when I can see fresh trainers off on their first journey, something that can shape their lives forever... oh, and what about you? You wouldn't be his sister would you?" He asked, looking at Lily. "Oh, no no no no no. My name's Lily, Lily Meadows. I just flew in from Johto and kinda bumped into them, so I came with them here." The young professor nodded. "Ah, I see then. Judging by your age, you'll be going on your first journey as well, correct?" Lily nodded. "I would have gone through Johto, but this place seemed full of way more adventure and mystery." The Professor beamed. "Ah, and right you were. So many ancient secrets that remain hidden across Viore, endless journeys and mysteries are abundant here! But I don't want to yammer. Leon, you should head back to the trucks, we'll be leaving any minute now. I'll return in a moment with your Pokedex's." The Professor vanished into a back room, with Brent's father following behind. "Good luck on your Journey, Brent. You too, Lily." Then he too disappeared behind the doors. Trainer after trainer stepped out of the airport, heading which ever way they went. Although the nostalgia was refreshing, he wasn't there for sightseeing. Times were changing again, things were becoming more dangerous. It seemed like everything was fine here, so he headed over to the Pokemon Center. That's when things got interesting. There was a growing group of trainers gathering just outside the Pokemon Center. Arguments were beginning to arise. It seemed to be between several different groups, concocted of veteran and fresh trainers. One girl looked like she was ready for the military than being a trainer, but clearly had no clue how to BE a trainer. Another looked to be a Coordinator, he never really understood the appeal of contests during his journey, but to each his own. An older trainer with a Blaziken had caught his attention, he carried a Keystone. Interesting... There was another boy, a year or two older than him. He had a collection of Pokemon with him. A quite clearly upstart brat of a girl was near the center of the arguments. Then there was a boy who looked like he was ready for the blizzard of the century, and a girl who, dispite her age, had a Dragonite with her. He was confused at first, but listened carefully to the ensuing conversations. The girl in uniform caught his attention the most. "Excuse me, but I can tell you're quite confused about being a trainer." He walked through the group, eventually facing her. "There's nothing set in stone about the best way to train your Pokemon, to bond with them. It's all about the path you take, the experiences you share together as partners. The path is long and difficult, and only you will know what the right path is." He turned to the rest of the group around him. "Now, let's not have so much arguing. When trainers meet, they become friends and rivals. The goal isn't to become enemies. Let the town keep its peaceful demeanor at least." He said all of this with the air of a veteran, experienced trainer. A glimmer of sunlight glanced off his Mega Ring Keystone on his finger, a full set of six Pokeballs glimmering on his belt. "If all else fails, why not have battles with one another? I find there's no better way to learn about a person, one on one to make it completely fair."
