Benji kept a tight grip on the skirt end of the makeshift rope Willa had handed him and helped lower he down, letting go once she was safely at the bottom. The fact there were spikes at the bottom made him wonder if this was some kind of trap, it seemed like a lot work to be an animal trap. He half-shifted, his claws were shorter but this way was quicker and he didn’t want to leave Willa down there alone in case there were more people down there than he thought. He jumped from one side of the hole to the other side digging his claws deep into the dirt and sliding down the side. He slowed himself down some with his feet and just before he reached the bottom he jumped from the side onto the small platform that had just pulled up near the entrance of the hole. Benji sized up the three men, one of them was injured and he had the same scent they had tracked here so Benji assumed he was the dragon. The other two men, Simon and Albert, looked and smelled human, though many supernaturals did as well. Paon did not look like he was being held against his will and one the men seemed to be helping the dragon with his wound. “Found your friend then?” He said to Willa as he shifted back to his human appearance. He brushed off the dirt from his hands and kept alert in case there were more people in tunnels, hiding for an ambush of something. “What’s with all the spikes? You guys setting traps to catch something?” He asked with suspicion and not bothering to hide his distrust. ---------------------------- Charlie shook Mr. Right’s hand and smiled. “Nice to meet you.” He said. He liked the sound of this guy doing the collecting, at his level they collected a lot of the easier to get samples like blood or extremities such as wings. Maybe if he didn’t have to interact act directly with the specimens it would be easier. Specimens? You mean sentient, practically human beings that would be tortured and killed for your research. His conscience wasn’t going to let him off the hook. The thought of his own office was very tempting, working in a cubicle with so many others close by was distracting. His own office, with people who worked beneath him and he could have them bring him coffee or lunch like an actual successful person. This was basically everything he’d wanted for most of his life actually being offered to him. All you’d have to do is make a deal with the devil. Charlie was relieved when Eric had to leave, hopefully it meant he’d have some time to think things over. “So, you’re supernatural right? How do you feel about all this, I mean you’re kind understands this is for the greater good?” He asked phrasing his question in way that hopefully wouldn’t sound suspicious. He was glad Eric had allowed him to meet Mr. Right as he had a few questions and asking a supernatural who worked with the scientists could help answer some of them. “Also I wouldn’t have to go near the Wendigo right? I get that it’s a very environmentally friendly way to dispose of biological waste but honestly that thing gives me the wiggins.” He said as he looked around the office and tried out the chair. It was a nice office chair, leather and spun around, very comfortable.
