Sam Thurston
"Keep moving!" Sam spared a parting glance towards Jason, noticing that he had moved towards the stranger she'd noticed before. Probably, he thought that the stranger needed help or maybe he'd simply seen the horde that was now forming a sea of teeth and ooze between Sam and her base. The bank itself was still secured from the biters, but she wasn't sure she could say the same for the car she'd been standing upon. It was violently rocking beneath her and she fell to her knees, clutching at whatever part of the car she could in order to keep herself above the biters' reach. "Shit!" Her brows furrowed as she took a moment to survey their situation. The building beside them was a small apartment, with some biters roaming out from inside. A quick look in the roof's direction and she guessed that if they got to it, a jump towards the next building wouldn't be impossible. She glanced at Kyle, wondering to herself if he could make the jump. With the way he ran before, he could probably do it. With a sigh, she stood, maintaining balance as best as she could. Kyle. I'm gonna try to weave through the biters and head inside that apartment." She would have jumped down from the car and headed straight towards the bank, chopping heads and limbs as she went, but even she knew that such a feat would cause in her gruesome and untimely death. Not today, suckers, she thought to herself, smirking at the mindless drones that clamored to grab whatever piece of flesh they could. She turned back to Kyle, the small frown of worry that were on her lips before now replaced with a grin filled with buzzing excitement. "Can I count on you to watch my back?" She patted his shoulder, but didn't wait for a reply before jumping down onto the asphalt. The moment her boots hit solid ground, she felt a sort of electrifying jolt run down her body. Distantly, she heard some gunshots, but the groaning of the few biters around her. There were around half a dozen or so, as most of the biters had been coming at them from the streets and not the sidewalks. Still, it was enough to get Sam's blood pumping as she weaved through the group (narrowly avoiding one of the biter's scratches) and clearing a path for her and Kyle to head inside the building.
