Brooks
[New Amber Town - Pokemon Center] [@Leoven] Well, he'd at least partially gotten his message across. The arguing had stopped, but he was concerned about a few of the trainers as they set off on their journeys, particularly the fresher ones, like the upstart brat with the oddly colored Duskull. She had no interest in making any kind of friend, it seemed. That could be dangerous, especially during such a troubling time in Viore... not that anyone realized this of course. To the naked eye, Viore was the usual PokeManiac Paradise. If only they could see what lay beneath... He wouldn't dwell on it. He had other things to do, he'd gotten distracted as is. He turned to the uniform clad girl once more. "Please take what I tell you to heart. Only you can decide how your journey goes, how you and your Pokemon grow. There's no set path for a trainer to follow. If all else fails, just follow your heart." He closed his eyes and turned, calmly walking down the street. He could feel the battling spirit in one of his Pokeballs. "I know, maybe next time. We haven't gotten a good challenge in far too long..." [Several Minutes Later...] He now overlooked New Amber Town, his stay had been brief. He'd heard of troubling news coming from the triangle of Riviera, Dorado, and Lilac as of late. Someting so close to home... he wouldn't have it. Events were beginning to unfold before him that had been prophesied since ancient days. Something he wished would never have come. "Well, it's a long road ahead of us, let's get moving." He clutched one of his Pokeballs in his hand, tossing it into the air revealing a massive hulking form, a Feraligatr. Around it's neck a special brace, within it was an odd gem. The Feraligatr began walking steadily alongside his trainer.
Brent Ignia and Lily Meadows
[New Amber Town - Maple Pokemon Lab] [@Ninian] [@Light Lord] It had been several minutes since the Professor had disappeared into the back room. Finally, he revealed himself carrying two miniature computer devices, one Orange one Green. "I had to find just the right colors to fit you two, but here you go. These are the Viore Model Pokedexes." He placed them in their respective hands, and they looked at the vital devices. They greatly resembled the Kalos Model Pokedex, but it didn't seem to open... "If you're confused on how to use it, try scanning your Pokemon. Just point it at the Pokemon you want to scan and click the red button on the side there." Brent was the first to try it, scanning Lily's Chikorita. A hologram appeared above the Pokedex, showing a 3D model of the Pokemon and displaying it's typing and important info around it. "Chikorita, the Leaf Pokemon. Chikorita emits pleasant aromas from the leaves on their heads and they love to sunbathe. They are also one of the three starter Pokemon common in the Johto Region." The device said in a feminine voice. "Wow, how neat. Let me try!" Said Lily, pointing the device at Brent's Cyndaquil. "Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokémon. Normally mild and even tempered, Cyndaquil will shoot a scorching flame out of its back when upset. It is also one of the three starter Pokemon common in the Johto Region." It replied in the same feminine voice. "Now, these Pokedex's have more importance than just an encyclopedia, be it may it is it's primary function. It also serves as your Viore Region Trainer's ID, which you will need to register for the Viore League or Viore Grand Festival and begin collecting the necessary badges or ribbons for those." Professor Maple explained. He pulled out a Blue Pokegear, looking at the clock. "Ah, 2:48. If you'll excuse me, I have to prepare for our departure. Good luck on your journeys! If you have any more questions, my aids should be able to help you." The Professor waved goodbye, and returned to the back room, backpack in hand. "Well... now what should we do?" Asked Lily, turning to Brent. "Well, that all depends. What are you planning to do here in Viore?" Lily turned and gave a wide grin. "I'm going to take on the Viore League! I don't know how far I'll get, but it'll be a lot of fun I know it!" Brent lit up a little hearing that. "Well, just so happens I am too! We could go together if you want, my brother Ryan always says journeys are much more fun with friends by your side." Lily thought about it for a bit. She had just met him, but she had to admit they had become fast friends. It just felt... right. "Sure! It'll make the journey way more fun!" Well, that settled that. "Alright! Oh, by the way, I'm guessing you have a Pokegear, right? I mean, who doesn't these days?" Lily nodded, pulling out a Pink colored Pokegear. "Let's get each other's Phone Numbers then." The two exchanged Phone Numbers, then Lily tried pulling up a map of Viore. "Uh oh, I forgot, I still haven't updated my Pokegear with the Viore Region Map and such." Brent nodded and motioned to the door. "The Pokemon Center should be able to update that for you, let's head over there now. The crowds should be broken up by now too." The two started outside, but halfway down the steps they looked down the road they had come down and saw the stream of trainers coming their way. The ones that stood out the most were what appeared to be a trio of trainers with a massive amount of Pokemon out. For some reason, instead of taking a different route, they waited. They couldn't explain it if they tried, but something told them to wait and meet these new trainers.
