A few miles into the Astorian border, the monk heard screaming. He ran to the source to find a group of bandits searching the remains of a group of innocent travellers. After defeating the bandits, the monk heard the sound of a crying infant coming from the travellers' wrecked caravan. Knowing the child would most likely die, the monk brought the baby back to the Ardent's Watch Monastery and gave him the name Seprad Elif, an anagram of the words 'Spared Life'. For the next 26 years of his life, Seprad lived at the monastery learning how to be a Monk of Rao like his adoptive father. Now at the age of 27. Seprad was ready for his final test: bringing peace, reason, and serenity to a place that lacks such qualities. And so he left to do so. However, fate dealt him a bad hand a few weeks later. After defending some innocent people from a group of corrupt guardsmen, Seprad was framed for a crime he didn't commit and was thrown into the prison where our story now begins. [/hider]
