There are different types that look different by what they do There is water and fire with water being wild that live in the rivers Fire ones can be seperated into messenger and servant/guard Messenger ones only look like salamanders. Those range from as small as a cat to the size of a large dog. They tend to live in the hearths. Their job is to spread messages given and travel from hearth to hearth or go directly to Feoras. They also do not speak in a language understood by many others...usually consists of gurgles, but Feroas is fluent. Other summer fae have managed to figure out that using them like messenger birds is best unless sending a message to the king. Servant/guard can be humanoid in shape with salamander eyes. They speak the common language and can understand salamander language.
