[@Belle] if Lyra is older than her apparent age, shoudln't it be listed on the char sheet, to avoid confusion?  I was under the impression she was literally four, and had regarded her and her mother accordingly.  Also it adds another dynamic to the relationship that's really not at all clear without the information.  Interesting that he would keep so young a child so long.  It's an interesting thought experiment to consider, how a person might grow while trapped in the body of a child and so unable to mature in that sense.
