Thus, the Gauss Rifle is much more suited to being a mid-range DMR instead of a long range sniper rifle. Especially since both FNV and FO3 are well known to have "curving bullets" that will provide an auto-aim based on a diceroll made by the game when you that could present certain accuracy misinterpretations.That is not present in this RP as that would take WAAAAY too much time and I won't be doing it or advocating it.

Yes, but in Fallout, there ARE inertial dampners, if I remember well.
Also, a coilgun to actually cause the amount of damage it does (which is significant), it would HAVE to go incredibly fast.
So, the entire point is moot, since the devs don't seemed to have put thought or explained it.
But your point is correct, except that the gauss rifle does more damage than it should than with its speed
