The silver haired kids were only 15 years of age but their shared ability of telekenisis and telapathy had them pegged as future heroes. Micheal and Madelyn had the ability to meld their minds together to become many times more powerfull. They had aquired fame and admiration among their peers when they had stopped a particulary nasty rogue telepath. This time however, the two were helpless and confused. The presence that was intruding defied sense, shining like a sun in their minds but wrapping eveything in Darkness. "Is it gone" madelyn asked shakily as they could no longer detect it. They couldn't detect any thoughts at all beyond the door. Only 30 minutes ago, there had been 8 different telepaths beside their own. Some more powerfull then others. More then one of them had held their own against the darker forces of the world. And now it was all quiet. Like the psychic equivalent of a tomb or a grave. A chill ran trough theirs spines. They reached out tentively with their mind, probing the psychic atmosphere. Nothing. Not a trace. It should be impossible, something so powerfull nad great a mind should leave psychic fragments as if it was nuclear fallout. "He's gone" Madelyn spoke. And then, reality shifted and screamed and tore itself apart as a man stood before them. Dressed in white, with a grin that promised nothing but then the Parasites mercyless devouring. "GET BACK!" Micheal focused every bit power into his mental punch. It smashed a against a strange cobweblike resistence. No, not cobweb. To his horror he realized it was like shedding light on a broken mirror. His thoughts shattered and fragmented like a laser hiting a broken prism. He glimpsed strange and twisted realities where cratures beyond comprehensiom. To late he realized tendrils of psychic energy was wrapping around him. As if the mans mind was so powerfull he could gather enough energy to "Brother!" Madelyn called out as she used her telekenisis to slam a table across the creatures head. It blinked and looked at her wordlessly. In that moment, she knew that body was just more psychic projection. She never encountered a mind so powerfull it could create a entire body out of pure psychokinetic energy. The bein turned its head to her and suddenly, a malignant swarm of impressions fluttered across her mind. She screamed and scrambled away as the strange intelligence seemed dredge up dark primal fears out of her, past all her many mental barriers. Micheal trembled, but the lack of attention served him well. He lashed outand severed the telekinetic tendrils holding him in place. The creature seemed suprised by this, turning back ot him. That mean it wasn't as strong as it appeared. They had achance. "Madelyn!" He grabbed his sisters hand. "Lets link!" His mind reached out, melded together with his sisters. Only.. There was nothing there. Nothing of her anyway. His eyes grew wide as he slowly turned his head towards her. Big, lifeless eyes stared back at him. The light gone. Yet something in her hollowed out out mind clung to him, forced the link to remain open as the same darkness began to leak into his own mind. Micheal screamed and he cried as the parasite in place of his sisters mind consumed his mind as well.. Parasite just watched silently, smiling.
