Yeah, but you might if America was as close to the north pole as Ardacia is to the south pole. Still, I should clarify Ardacians won't [i]actually[/i] all be called Southmen since there won't be any foreigners around to do so. If others speak up and say Ardacia's frozen south and mild north are too weird I'll reverse it though. Not totally married to the idea, just something I wanted to use to deviate a bit from the usual "Frozen North/Exotic South" found in ASOIAF.
