Black Cat wasn’t quite sure how to feel about the Hell’s Kitchen Devil as he came next to her. He seemed to know a lot and before Spider-Man arrived and swept her away (both in the literal and metaphorical sense), he was the mystery super-hero flooding the media. Who would have thought she would be sitting on the rooftop as a super-hero herself and helping thee DareDevil along size the amazing Spider-Man. Talk about getting your ego stroked by being wanted to help them! She couldn’t help but feel a least a little important. Though she knew all too well that Spider-Man would be watching her like a hawk to make sure she’s okay. And that, that she could appreciate whole-heartedly. Both men soon arrived and the waiting began. Sitting on the edge of the roof across from the paper was boring to say the least. The building wasn’t high so seeing the stars in the sky were impossible and the awkward silence was intense. Normally Spider-Man and Black Cat would chit chat about things that happened in their day, catch up on thoughts or even do their homework. However they couldn’t do that with the Hell’s Kitchen Devil right next to them. Did he even know that the two were a couple? Even Black Cat didn’t know the answer to that. The men’s banter back and forth was actually rather entertaining and the smile across the young lady’s face showing her bright white teeth. Though it didn’t last long, the Devil called for silence explaining that something was happening in the building. Black Cat paid more attention when the Devil asked her if she could hear it too. After first she couldn’t, until she closed her eyes and focused hard. Then, an incredibly faint footsteps going through the building, “Whoa, yeah; it’s faint… someone who’s very light or trained not to be noticed…” Almost instantly she was to her feet. They stopped, it sounds like there’s something’s getting worked on, a door perhaps?” “They’re not to the offices yet.” DareDevil said quietly as he stood up. “It’s our time to go in.” “Let’s go.” Black Cat said and began to take a step forward. A hand grabbed her arm, her head turned to look at Spider-Man however, she realized that he wasn’t the person who grabbed her. Her head slowly turned before looking at DareDevil and held back a look of surprise, “Yes?” There were so many thoughts running through DareDevil’s mind. This was his god-daughter. So many bad things could happen in just a small amount of time and he wouldn’t forgive himself is something happened to her. “Just be careful.” He said as he let go of her arm and listened to her fall gracefully off the building and head towards her entrance to go inside. He then turned his attention to Spider-Man, the silence between the two men lasted a little longer before DareDevil finally spoke, “She seems like someone who can be reckless, keep an eye on her.” With that he followed Black Cat’s lead and jumped from the building. Black Cat, because she was the lightest, had the air ducts entrance into the building. Her small body wiggled through the ducts and she crawled with unexpected ease through them. Learning from the DareDevil, she used her sense of hearing to guide her to the location where the criminal was. Holy crap they were quiet. This isn’t some punk; this is the real deal… Taking a deep breath, she moved through the air ducts towards the direction of the criminal listening for the nearly silent footsteps of her comrades who were approaching the individual as well.
